i heard the opposite.... that a TON of people bet on the giants to cover the ridiculous spread

Everyone I know bet on the Pats. 12.5 didn't seem too ridiculous for a 10-6 NFC record vs. a 16-0 AFC record. I'm glad someone beat the Pats this year but the Giants have been getting lucky all year, if you want to call it luck... When they almost beat the Pats in regular season it was almost as ridiculous as the Eagles almost beating the Pats. I'm convinced the NFL is crooked or maybe even just some refs, but more specifically I feel 90% of Sunday night "primetime" games are close on purpose.

with the Pats not covering the ast couple weeks and still a high spread how could you not like the giants. i wanted to put 50 on the the coin toss and 50 on the giants. Would of won both.

Based on the previous three appearances by the Patriots in the SuperBowl, the smart money bet on the Giants. They only won each game by three points. 12 points was way too much to give a team that nearly beat the Pats earlier in the season even if that game was meaningless.

If I had to pick a team I would have went with the Pats. Who would have guessed their offensive line was going to play like shit. They didn't look that awful all season.

start this off with a bang.

the pro bowl will be played the week before the super bowl next year. STUPID.

nobody watches the pro bowl so they thoguth this would get more tv ratings. Sucks for the guys who missed out this year and will get in next b/c the game wont be in Hawaii. Its gonna be at the same site of the Super Bowl at Dolphins Stadium.

dumb

That is just stupid. They should just have it in the middle of the season, just like every other major professional sports league. They did this type of thing when I was playing high school football. The day of our version of the state championship, all the other teams that didn't make it, had their best players play in the all star game.

Thats simple, people in the super bowl will refuse to play the pro bowl. There's always a bunch of players who get elected but don't play. Nobody gives a shit about the pro bowl anyway. The only reason the players go is because it's in Hawaii. I wouldn't be surprised if they stop having one soon.

Players in the Super Bowl won't play. I think i heard them say that the 4 teams in the Conference Championship wont have players in it.

My picks for today are:

The Dolphins over the Ravens. I think that this is going to be a close one (a touchdown at the most)

And the Eagles over the Vikings. I think that this one won't be so close I'm expecting a win by at least 10 points.

This is what happens when you DON'T GIVE UP ON THE RUN GAME. I don't understand how they could give up on the run game all season. Even if you're only getting 50 yds on the ground, it still plants the seed in the mind of the defense that they need to cover the run, which opens up the passing game. That's not to say that they were ZOMGDOMINATING through the air, but the defense couldn't just sit back with 7 guys in the secondary in a prevent and stop us.

That was a great Catch-and-run by Westbrook, great blocking, a real team play.

Peterson is so fucking fast once he explodes through the line, it is rediculous. Jared Allen is just a machine. i would LOVE to see that guy in green.

great game to watch though.

Bring on the Giants.

One game at a time. They didn't play spectacular but it was a win. If you look at both games with the Giants this year its been tight. I hope we bring the rain down on Manning and the Giants without Plax.

HAHAHA nice
that must have been an awesome game to go to. its the worst going to an away game and seeing your team lose. then you have to do the walk of shame out of THEIR stadium with everyone yelling at you. luckily they got the bragging rights walking out of that joint.
