wow i'm not a big hockey fan but i watched that game and the flyers got their ass handed to them. the sabres absolutely killed any power play the flyers had. they barely got any shots off. jesus

Yeah, things aren't looking so great for the Orange and Black. I got home after the first period, so I missed the entire crapfilled first period.

Man, the special teams always tell the story during playoff hockey. First, the Flyers suck on the power play because they love to hold on to the puck for dear life. No one shoots the thing and every once in a while when someone gets the nuts to actually fire the puck it goes wide. They NEED to capitalize on the man advandages - end of story. Second, not to sound like a typical home-team fan, but the fact that there were 12 calls on the Flyers last night is absurd. Especially since a lot of those calls were BOGUS. Not much the Flyers can do when they spend well over 20 minutes of 60 minutes of play short handed. I'm staying postive - Wednesday is where they can get it back!

there was 7 mins of 5 on 5 play in the second period. I said it from game one to Jenna that i bet the refs will win this for the Sabres. So far they are 2-0. But i dont care i still think they can take both games in Philly and be right back in it.

I dont think its a physical issue with the flyers, I think the Sabres and the refs are in their heads. Anytime one of our guys does anything remotely physical we get a call against us... I just hope the team that killed Ottawa 6-3 and the Rangers 4-1 show up at home on wednesday. I don't know or care about the rest of you but even down 0-2 and getting beat 8-2 last night, I still have really high hopes for a great comeback. You can only contain forsberg for so long until he makes magic happen.

well, tomorrow night's gotta be the real deal then. i'm forced to watch it online since my cable company up here in north jersey blows. i can basically watch the whole thing streaming over the net, but it drops out now and again, and its just not comfortable watching the game like that. so after they were getting pummeled, i had to turn away.

Are you on comcast? Get the hockey channels next year if spending 130 isnt too much. I don't know if they offer HD though. Those channels run through the playoffs though unlike the MLB channels.

i was thinking about getting the NHL package, but during the season im never home in time to watch any of the games...its only cuz im working from home for the next few weeks that i can watch any of the playoffs. as far as i know, i don't think the NHL package is in HD...they had a free preview at the start of the year and none of it was in HD. maybe next year i'll nab it.

i'm getting the buffalo feed on my computer and the announcers have called philly "classy" when the fans booed dumont after he took that spear from geotchirrrrrrerer (i have no idea how to spell that name). hahaahhaahahaha.

Yea they say were classy for booing them but in Buffalo they run the Umberger hit voer and over again as he is bleeding out his nose and had no idea where he was. Its always going to be like that ppl saying Philly fans are the worst. So they can all fuck off

Everyone thought Forsberg got a Hat Trick at the end of the game, I couldnt even see all i saw was hats. I was in row 14 so i launched my hat it took like 5 minutes to get onto the ice hahaha but man i threw it so hard. I wonder if they just threw all the hats away. I hope they put them in the glass and have the plaque just say the date on it because that was a 25 dollar hat

Actually, I'm pretty sure that there IS a case that holds all the hats, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing it one time when I was at a concert or something.

Although maybe they won't display those hats since Gagne scored and not Forsburg.

It was a good game and a good win, and I'm excited for Friday.

MAN! what a game tonight. just call these guys the philadelphia foresbergs. seriously, i think that guy's got a frigg'n string tied to his stick to the puck. flyers had a terrible, sluggish first 10 minutes, but foresberg did his razzle dazzle around buffalo's zone and made all the differnce in the team. unburger stepped up and snagged a goal, nedved got one for the team, and the flyers took it to them in the corners. of course, we almost blew it at the end, though.

great hockey! GO FLYERS!!!
