I'm so glad I don't have a girlfriend or a social life haha, because that means I can totally be there!

It also rocks that for once in my life an online podcast is happening in the same timezone as me!

I have an alarm in my phone set to go off at 5:30, promptly playing the Mario Circuit theme to warn me of the impending awesomeness.

I was surprised that Atlanta is on EST. I thought they were Central. That was probably because Nashville is Central and for some reason, I thought Atlanta was just as west as Nashville.

Awesome.

Speaking of which, my cell phone is loaded with video game sounds/music. This new dude who sits in the cube with me is like the first person I've worked with that recognizes all of them and I usually hear him cracking up when they go off. Whenever I get a TXT message its the Zelda "you found a secret" chime, and a Zelda "item get" when I get a voice mail. My ringtone is a little more obscure... it's the music from Metroid II when you spot a Metroid.

Hahaha that is awesome, i'm totally putting that on my phone. Right now I have it set so that when I get a text you hear the "Oktooobberrfesstt!" from the Medic in TF2. My ringtone is the TF2 theme song, and my voicemail is the "Kaboooomm!" from the Demo in TF2 as well.
I also have the F-zero theme, delfino plaza, and the original Zelda theme. :)

For the brief two months I had a cellphone my download option didn't function for whatever reason, so I would pull out some generic 8-bit sounding song on the phone and pretend it was just some obscure song from a videogame.

Most people pretend the are so "l337" or whatever that they just go along with it to save face.

That's kind of the same thing right?

Oi, I don't download stuff to my phone, I have a cable that connects through USB and I use a program called Bitpim.

I tried that but for some silly reason the only plug on my phone is for my power adapter.

Silly Silly Cellphone.

I use the MGS Codec call on my iphone. I also use my phone as an alarm, so I get early morning codec calls in my face. Love it.

Thanks sith, if your comment was directed to me.

As for powerdusk, if your comment was also directed towards me then, the guy in my display pic is Dr. Gaius Baltar being interrogated by his so called "fellow humans".

If neither comment was directed at me then my ego and vanity really does rival the real Baltar's.

[oh crap! Also, just in case you were referencing my Edward James Olmos avvie from earlier it too was rocking. see below]
