I read Book Two this weekend, man shit is getting insane. Now I have to force myself to wait a couple weeks before buying Book Three.

I ordered Book Three a few weeks back from deepdiscount because it was a lot cheaper. Anyway it showed up yesterday and I started reading it last night. I'm only through the first chapter, but man... its off to a great start. I'm gonna be in bad shape waiting for Book Four to come out once this one is finished.

haha I'm pretty much carrying this thread over here. Finished book 3 last night and it was awesome. I know theres more zombie fans on here, you guys will love this one.

i might check it out after i get done reading The Stand.

I love this book too. I have the first 4 or 5 trades and haven't gotten any of the newer ones.

Deepdiscount.com has the hardcover books for $19 each, if you're looking for them. They were like $30 at the Borders near my house.

I love The Walking Dead.

I have to admit, lately I haven't really completely agreed with the directions Kirkman has been taking but it seems like no matter what choices he makes, the story and the characters make it worthwhile.

As far as the monthly issues go, I'm pretty sure they're up in the fifties by now and stuff has been getting really intense; but I haven't got a comic book shop where I'm living so I only get to read what I.... :AHEM: acquire.

But it's a great series.

They are on issue 50 or 51 now. The last 5 issues are some of the most ridiculous things I've ever read in a comic. If you read the trades, the next one is gonna kick your ass.

Yeah, the most recent story arc really through me for a loop. I mean, the series has always been intense but it just got crazy around 45 or so.

I'm still not sure if I agree with Kirkman's choices as far as what's going on but it still makes for an interesting story and he's the writer, not me, so yeah. I'll stop complaining and drool over some zombies now.

hmm i may have to start picking up the trades rather than waiting for them to come out in hardcover.

I like to get the hardcover issues because I'm a collector, but waiting for them is a real bitch.

The problem with buying the trades is they're over so damn quick. You just get into it and then it's done and there's no real resolution. Leaves me feeling raped.

You excited for Left 4 Dead, Steve? Seems like your kind of game.

It sounds pretty cool, from what I've seen its shaping up nicely.

The trailers make it look fairly awesome. I almost don't like that the zombies can run but I guess that makes it more intense and forces you to work with the other players. It looks like the game throws a lot at you at once.

Also, I haven't read a new Walking Dead issue in, like, three months.

I'm in pain here. This is terrible.

Apparently Book 4 (Hardcover) is due out in October. This is pretty much the only way I read comics anymore cause I just cant keep up with monthly series and I like to sit down and read a big chunk of story at once.

I don't know where anyone is on this but I'll write in spoilers. It covers what happens between issues 43-48

I just read the 8th trade and jeeeesus christmas!!! So the people from Woodbury come to the prison and just take out everyone! I don't know if Dale and his crew is alright in the RV but the prison is no longer a place for them to live. It seems that Rick and his son are the only ones to make it out.

I always read this before bed and then I want to play Left 4 Dead or Dead Rising. Well I love reading about it before bed cause sometimes I actually have dreams with zombies in them. Man this is just one sick book and nobody is safe from Robert Kirkman's killing frenzy. I love it!!!

Dude, when Rick's wife and baby got shot, my jaw dropped. Walking dead is fucking insane.

I'm finally caught up to the comic. Got Book 6 for Christmas from my parents, read the rest through the comiXology app (which is pretty awesome).

I'm up to issue #105 now. Shit is so different from when it first started, and is aeons beyond the show.
