I went over to TRU and got FF12 for a whopping 7.98. What a steal.

Phil, now that you have a 360, you need to get Bioshock.

Ah, after my PC fiasco with Bioshock, I'm over it. I don't care about it anymore. Surprisingly, the first game I want for the 360 is Viva Pinata.

Sorry, those deep sea divers with drill arms are gonna have to wait until they're 10 dollars in the bargain bin.

I'm sure with a little effort, you can get Bioshock to run on your PC. It will look better and play better as well than theh 360 version.

Yeah, I played a little bit of it. I don't think I could make the controls exactly like how I wanted them so I was aiming like an idiot. I can't stand playing FPSs with a controller.

Yeah I put a few hours into Bioshock and I honestly felt like it was just really overrated. It looked really nice, the art direction was fantastic and the premise for the story was very interesting. However, the actual game itself just seemed to be really clunky in execution.

I hate FPS games where you have 'magic powers' and theres no ability to lock on or anything. Oblivion was the same way, it just made me want to stop playing very quickly.

you could go the whole game without using powers TBH....to me they were just fun to use, but if you upgraded to your weapons took the snapshots of your enemies you could kick the shit out of them easily with nothing but your weapons. what i really liked about the game the enemies, especially the feeling i got when i walked by a big daddy i hadn't attacked.

Dude, fuck tinkering around with PC games. One of the reasons I wanted a sweet new PC was to be able to play some games on it for a bit and you know what? I still needed to screw around with settings and games still ran like shit. PC gaming as we know it is going to die. PC gaming that involves web based games you can play in your browser are what is going to take over. No one likes to fiddle around with settings anymore. Why would I want to spend hours fucking around with settings when I can just throw Bioshock in a 360 and get the same experience on a nice big ass HDTV on the comfort of my couch? Who is going to pay for PC content when they can just hop on Pirates Online for free? No one.

PC gaming. Thumbs Down.

People pay for PC games for the online experience. You're not going to get a pirated version of a game and expect it work online. Since Bioshock is single player, then yeah, you can just pirate it. Xbox Live is the only thing that came remotely close to giving people a good online experience. I still say PC online support is still way better than console online. You're just blowing off steam with the whole PC gaming is going to die crap. I have to say, Bioshock's software could have been polished a little bit more. I think they rushed it. But for good PC games, I have no problems installing them and running them. I like having the customizations on the PC. Fucking Mario Kart won't even let me change the buttons. People like the PC because you can customize it. As for the big screen TV deal, HDTVs now all come with standard HDMI ports so that makes hooking up your PC to a TV a breath.

Oh, and I will never play an RTS on a console.

Yea RTS's on consoles are awful. I downloaded a couple of demos on the Xbox and its horrible using a controller. That being said everything else sucks on a pc. I prefer a controller to mouse and keyboard for shooters. Always did.

You didn't understand what I meant by "Pirates Online for free." I mean people are playing an MMO, Pirates of the Caribbean, in their web browser, for free. So why are they gonna pay money for Bioshock just to have it not work? Stuff like Rune Scape and Gametap are the future of PC gaming.

And hooking up a PC to an HDTV isn't as easy as plugging in an HDMI cable. Take for instance my computer. You really think I'm going to lug that beast all the way down the steps, unplugging all the shit thats behind it, and then rehooking all that shit back up just to play some shitty game that doesn't work? Get real man. No one is doing that, unless they have a dedicated machine hooked up to their TV for that purpose.

As for Mario Kart, I use the remote/chuck and all the buttons are exactly where I want them to be. Just stop using your wavebird, something you're even lucky works with the game in the first place, and switch over to what the game was built for.

Dude remote and chuck, its the way to play. All the buttons are where you need them, and to do tricks all you gotta do is a little shake on the remote. None of this taking your thumb off the stick to reach the D-Pad business.

With the PC hooking up to a TV, I was referring to a gaming dedicated machine. I wouldn't expect the average person to lug their PCs around just to hook it up to a TV.

I'm pretty sure plenty of people are running Bioshock on their computers with no problems. And that is only one game. I can't imagine a web based FPS that would be any good. Or a web based RTS. I don't know about MMOs because I don't play them. I think it's safe to say people still prefer WOW over Pirates of the Caribbeans. There will always be a market for PC games. I don't think the whole PC gaming base are moving over to the flash point and clicks any time soon.

And the Mario Kart thing was just an example. I was just pointing out the customability of PC games vs console games. On a PC, you can choose any button to do anything, you can even choose to hook up a controller and use that. You can choose your resolution and AA, level of detail, etc. Where as consoles games are just what you see is what you get. Now I know you don't like to play games on a PC but I think your views are a bit extreme.
