Lifted (http://youtube.com/watch?v=7mRwNN13Z7Y)
One Man Band (http://youtube.com/watch?v=WkilVKSlC9o)

I originally just made this thread for lifted, but saw One Man Band in the related videos and loved it also. All of the pixar shorts are fantastic, but what are your favorites?

Yeah, I've wanted to buy the Blu-ray with all the shorts for my wife but that 30 bucks is just too hard to swallow.

I like For The Birds, it's simple and tells an entertaining story.

I also like Tin Toy, for that horrifying baby.

I thought Lifted had the most laughs of any short they had done before. I laughed more times in that little short than all of Ratatouille, as much as I like that film.

I wouldn't really call Ratatouille a comedy. It's just a film meant to entertain.

Well, I would still call Ratatouille a "comedy," but I definitely wouldn't compare it to something like Toy Story, for example. I enjoyed Ratatouille the same way I enjoy Lady and the Tramp or 101 Dalmations...entertaining stories with bits of funny and fantastic animation.

It's an animated film chalk full of family goodness and fun.

I think the amazing thing is that Pixar can do a "family movie" like Ratatouille without it being saccharine, just as they can do an "adult movie" (The Incredibles) without filling it with juvenile jokes and pop culture references.

Oh, this doesn't quite fit in with their "normal" shorts, but I loved the extra cartoon that came on the Ratatouille DVD, "Your Friend the Rat." That was absolutely hilarious, and the fact that they did hand drawn animation made me warm and fuzzy inside.

it is a turn off because it pulls you out of the movie. suddenly what you're watching becomes a joke of itself. unless the entire premise of what you are watching is based on pop culture jokes, like family guy or even the shrek films i think, its jarring and hacky.
