Figured I'd start this thread up since the book comes out on Sunday. I'm sure at least 6 of us will be reading the thing. I say if we want to talk about the book while we read it or whatever, we should list exactly where we are so that people don't read spoilers. Like if I'm talking about something in Chapter 5, it should say Chapter 5 page whatever. I probably won't lurk around in this thread until I'm a good ways through it, but I just wanted to have it here for when the time comes so it doesn't get ruined for anyone.

I'm pumped.

You know, Dem and I both bought our own copies of Half Blood Prince so we could read them at the same time. This time though, we're buying just one copy of it to save money. But I've been thinking maybe I want to buy my own. She treats her books like crap, and then will probably lend it to her sister when we're done meaning it either A) Won't come back or B) Will come back worse, probably without a cover. I have my collection in near pristine condition (the only exception is Order) being held up by Potter bookends. Anyway my copy of Half Blood still exists... I dont know where hers went to. So maybe I should buy my own.

From Game Invasion....(didnt copy spoiler link at bottom though)

Quote:
Desperate fans frantic for a look at the final book in the Harry Potter series, have found a way to do so. A few of the most populated torrent sites now have files consisting of photographed pages of the highly-anticipated novel.

While this is certainly disturbing to the conglomerates that have been protecting the finale to the Harry Potter mega-franchise as if it is the source of all mankind, there seems to be nothing to really worry about - the quality here is terrible and the readability is even worse.

This one is for the die-hards only and not recommended as "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be in a bookstore near you this Saturday. However, if you consider yourself one of the aforementioned Potterheads AND ARE NOT AFRAID OF SPOILERS here you go.

I'm really anal about the books I buy. I think you'd be better off buying 2 different ones. If you have first printings of all of those books theyre worth a good amount of money. Theres one on ebay now first 6 books first printings, 2200 bucks. No bids but still, thats alot of hooch.

One of my groomsmen actually said he couldn't make it to my wedding this saturday because of a midnight party to get the Harry Potter book.

I've never read a book, or seen an entire movie. I don't hate Harry Potter, I just didn't get into it.

Well that's just rediculous. I hope he wasn't being serious... I wouldn't even speak to him again if it is serious.

And then.....a bunch of ninjas come in and beat the hell out of Harry Potter with their 1-2 SHO-RYU-KEN ATTACK! Then pirates and transformers come out and rip everyone apart, while a little mouse cooks food for everyone, and Nancy Drew bangs Hermione.

This book is awesome, really interestin stuff.

****PAGE 167 SPOILERS!!!****

Best Quote in the book so far...

"It'a no wonder I can't get it out, Hermione, you packed my old jeans, they're tight."

"Oh, I'm so sorry," hissed Hermione, and as she dragged the waitress out of sight of the windows, Harry heard her mutter a suggestion as to where Ron could stick his wand instead.

********END SPOILER********

I bet Rowling was cracking up when she wrote that.

I finished the book @ 4:30 am. Once I got to the final 200 pages or so, I couldn't stop. It was absolutely amazing.

I wont say anything else until others finish the book, but I loved it. My wife is going to start it tonight and then I'll probably read it again.

Dooooood, I'm about to start the last 200 pages!

WooooHooooo! FINISHED! That book was AWESOME!!! There were a couple things I didn't like but they weren't important. Last 200 pages rocked!

Are we allowed to talk about the WHOLE book in here?

Ok.

SPOILERS

Did anyone that finished tear up a bit at points? It was so sad when Dobby died after he just saved them all. What about Lupin going back to his family and being a happy father?...and the him AND tonks get killed!!! That was sad too, I was shocked. She killed them off and it seemed like it wasn't a bid deal, it was only one sentence mentioning their death. I re-read one time going, "what....what?...WHAT?!"

The part where Molly called Bellatrix a bitch and killed her was totally EPIC. It was a great showdown and only could have been better (this is what I WANTED to happen) if Neville killed her.

I loved how Neville was the leader of DA, and how he refused to be a Death Eater. "Dumbledore's Army!"

I also really came to liking Kreacher. That was awesome when he charges in with all the House Elves and starts slicing shins.

Anyone else think for this movie to be done right it HAS to be rated R?

I love this book.

What's your favorite parts?

Edit///I forgot to change it to white at first lol.

Anyone wanna post their AIM SN (if they use AIM) and talk about the book?Mines PrimalCow
