Black Tide look to have joined this years "Ozzfest", filling the spot recently vacated by Circus Diablo, who exited the tour earlier this week.

Nevermind that last post.

Quote:
While Black Tide were originally tipped to replace Circus Diablo on the Second Stage of this years "Ozzfest", it turns out that will not be the case. Due to the band being underage and the Second Stage of the festival being sponsored by Jagermeister, the group have been denied the slot.

I went to Ozzfest last night with Hack, Pitstop, and Vino.
We got there around 6 something and as I was walking in, ECW wrestler Tommy Dreamer was walking out. He literally walked right by me, I could have stuck my arm out and gave him a running lariat. He was HUGE in person. I guess he was just there as a fan of the music because he wasnt in any special area. He was just walking out of the arena when we were coming in.

It was weird, because it was the first year I didnt go early. So it was packed as shit with drunk people and usually I'm one of them. We got there for Static-X who were pretty damn good and got me pumped up a little. Our seats were pretty good too. Its the closest I have ever been for Ozzfest but then again its only the 2nd time I got seats instead of lawn. Lamb of God wasnt that good. The vocals arent good live. They arent loud enough to be heard over their crazy music.

Ozzy was awesome. The only song where he cant hit the notes is I Dont Wanna Change The World. He should cut that one out and add in Iron Man or something. But the stage show was the same as every year and Ozzy was the best of the night like usual. A 100% times better performance compared to last year. Good shit.

right now all i have is rumors, half of these bands listed probably will NOT be on the tour.

Quote:
In July 2007, Sharon Osbourne confirmed that she is in the process for a reunion of the original lineup of Black Sabbath in Ozzfest 2008, which will also charge paid admission. As of October 2007, Ozzy Osbourne reported in a teleconference that his solo band will headline the 2008 edition of the tour. [20] According to [3]www.theMETALreport.com, rumored bands that could possibly play Ozzfest 2008 are as follows: Alice In Chains, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Black Label Society, Bullet For My Valentine, Cavalera Conspiracy, Deftones, Down, Godsmack, Gwar, In This Moment, Judas Priest, Lacuna Coil, Marilyn Manson, Megadeth, Motorhead, Queensryche, Serj Tankian, Shadows Fall, Slayer, Stone Temple Pilots, Testament, and other hard rock and metal notables who have yet to announce tour dates that conflict with the usual Ozzfest tour dates that run from mid July to early September.
