yeah i really still dont understand why people bought into that hype. there is nowhere for facebook to gain additional revenue unless they become riddled with ads like myspace and then they will just go under completely...

I think it'll go down to about $8-$10 and that's where it will sit.

You have atvi stock right? Why does it never go up (substantially) even when it seems like every year they make more and more money?

It's the stock market. It's not supposed to make sense. I'm guessing they're just meeting the market expectations.

It might be because they never really surprise people? Everyone knows that these games like COD and Diablo will do giant numbers so when they do it is no surprise. I think it would take a game coming out of nowhere and selling insane numbers for their stock to go up. Or maybe the acquisition of a big IP or company?

That's just my guess though, I don't really know shit about the stock market.

Had the second phone interview with the Data Center Mgr(s) at 10am today. It was supposed to be a 45 minute call but it was more like 20 minutes or so. I felt like i had good answers to everything they asked, and i showed that i had the technical knowledge, but the dudes on the call were kind of dicks.

In any case, i just got the email that they want me to come onsite for the in-person interview.

I was trying not to get my hopes up, but now i'm pretty psyched about this opportunity.

People are dumb and think just because they use it all the time it is a good investment. Little did they realize, nobody is clicking any ad that shows up and that is how they make money.

that's half the reason why it tanked in the first place. less people are using the site and they are using the app and the mobile site instead. neither of those can be monetized very well. not to mention there isn't a lot more they could do to get revenue anyways. if they saturate with ads, they will just become myspace and everyone will leave...so they are pretty much fucked no matter what.

either way, people are indeed idiots.
