It's not like he's doing nothing. Also he's going to be voicing Leonardo in the new TMNT for Nickelodeon.

Total Recall
Figured I should see this before the remake this summer. I can't believe I haven't seen it, like not even parts of it. Its pretty damn good. Of course it comes with a lot of cheese, but thats kind of expected. Arnold makes some ridiculous faces, sometimes I couldn't tell if it was special effects or his real face. The faces when they can't breathe on Mars were awesome. Anyway, if you don't know what its about. Arnold is your average every day dude. I love this because he always plays that character even though he looks the furthest from it. He's a fuckin Austrian monster, he was huge in this movie. His name is Douglas Quaid. He always has American names even though he's clearly not American. Anyway he dreams of being something he's not, so he goes to Rekall where they try to implant a Mars special agent memory into his head and shit gets wild. We find out he actually did work for an Agency and had his memory wiped. Or did he? Lots of twists and turns and I actually had no idea how it was going to end. Great one liners and Arnold screams. Sharon Stone was pretty hot too. Looking forward to seeing how they redo it this summer.

The best part was that he determined a guy was guilty and needed to get shot solely based on a drop of sweat.

I also loved that twist at the end about Quaid.

I heard about things from the movie before but never saw them. So I knew about the three tits and I knew Kuato was a little dude hanging off another dude.
So those things didn't surprise me. But they were still great.

Martyrs

I gave this a watch last night on recommendation from my brother. It's a movie about a girl who was kidnapped as a child and tortured for weeks. She escapes and is raised in an orphanage until she breaks out to find the people that did this to her. She's plagued by visions of a naked, scar covered woman who inflicts pain on her in whichever way she can. It's dark and violent, yet shockingly, it is not exploitative. For as violent as this movie is, it doesn't cater to a perverse fascination with violence, as in movies like Saw and Hostel. The director uses violence to make his point, and then moves on to the next scene. Shots linger just enough to leave the image in your head, but not enough to turn your stomach.

I was amazed when I got to the end and I was thinking about what the movie was trying to convey instead of thinking about all the messed up stuff that happens in it. Definitely worth a watch for horror fans looking for something different.

We watched this last night. It's a rough movie to watch because seriously fucked up shit happens. It was done so well that I actually had to step away and remind myself that this is a story and not real people. Well, it's based on a book so I don't know how much of it is based on real people and real events, but the content is certainly real. You just can't believe what people do to each other in it. The mother, while despicable, was pretty damned good in it. Really good movie, not in a sense of entertainment per se, but very eye opening and makes you realize that maybe the ending of Mass Effect 3 isn't that bad after all.

It was good, I felt like they did a pretty decent job adapting the book. The only issue we had with it was that a lot of the action scenes were shot in a way that made them difficult to follow. They just got very hectic and we couldn't even focus on what was happening. Everything else was shot really well. It was also pretty crowded considering how long it had been out, the theater was completely silent which was unusual.

The Avengers
http://www.moviewiseguys.com/2012/05/th ... eview.html

It lives up to the hype. Pretty goddamn awesome. The final hour is just a long badass action sequence. Hulk was so good. My favorite part was just this 5 second scene of Hulk chasing Black Widow in slow motion. It was so cool. The beginning started a tiny bit slow for some build up but even if the beginning was crap, the end would have still made up for it. And of course there's setup for more with Thanos appearing in the first extra scene at the end. Its pretty much what you think, the Avengers don't get along at first but then band together to fight Loki and his aliens. But no one is center stage, they each get their moment. I was glad it wasn't an Iron Man movie with 5 other guys thrown in. They each had adequate involvement.

The Avengers was great, I loved every second of it. I went Friday night, first time I've went on opening night for a big movie in a while. The crowd was cheering after tons of scenes. I loved the part when Hulk picks up Loki and starts throwing him around like a rag doll. The crowd loved it.

Yeah Hulk was like a big ape. That scene you mentioned he was definitely acting like a big gorilla.
Hulk was awesome man. When he punched Thor in that one scene was funny too.

What did Hulk say after he smashed Loki around? People were laughing and cheering and I didn't hear it.

I don't know, I missed a lot of stuff like that because of the crowd and this annoying fat superfan lady next to me. She cheered like an idiot and had a loud annoying laugh everytime something funny was said or happened. As soon as I sat down she started asking me questions like if I knew about the Avengers and all this stuff. I was like well yeah I've seen all the movies, shes like "NO, I mean the comic books" I was like ummm i read a few when i was younger...then she started talking about all this shit that I had no idea what she was talking about. And she was there alone and told me her husband went to the midnight show the night before. What the hell is wrong with people. Mutants.
