So 11 years ago this girl told police her father raped her. The girl (now 23) JUST came forward and admitted that she lied. I guess her parents were going to get divorced and she got sick of the fighting so after a friend's dad got taken away for sexual abuse she decided she didn't want her dad around either. Of course no one believed the dude when he claimed innocence and they put him in jail.

The part that absolutely blows my mind is that she is facing absolutely 0 consequences for her father being wrongfully imprisoned over her lies. I get that they do not want to discourage others from coming forward but you have to punish her somehow.

Yea I can see your point too, but she was 12 when this went down. I mean, maybe I'm just being a bit unfair, but you'd think by that age you'd know this is definitely wrong? It's a screwed up situation, I just feel bad for the guy.

i dont think i had a sane fukin thought until i was about 20. some of the stuff that went on in my head and decisions i made make absolutely no sense to me now. a 12 year old doesnt know shit about shit, but im sure that by the time she hit highschool she knew the extent of what she had done. problem is at that point she is probably afraid of repercussions. with something that big, im sure it has been tearing hr up for years. i would bet that she is really emotionally fucked as a result.

I guess, I don't know I don't have any real coherent memories of being 12. I suppose it's just a shitty situation all around.

Yeah that was one of the first things I ever questioned with christianity when I was a kid. There is no way a nail through each hand could hold the guy up. Either they would have to go between those forearm/wrist bones or they would have had to somehow tie him up with some rope.

Also on a somewhat related note there was a study done on teen pregnancy in the States that showed it was on the decline. One thing I found funny is that last week I read one about religion. Mississippi was the most religious state and New Hampshire was the least religious state. Now in this teen pregnancy study Mississippi has the highest rate of teen pregnancy (55/1,000 teenage girls) and New Hampshire has the lowest rate of teenage pregnancy (15.7 births/1,000 teenage girls).
