Vino I called a year ago and they gave me a 40 dollar credit each month for being a loyal customer, that just ended last month.

i remember i asked verizon when i signed up with them what the price would be after two years, and the dude couldnt answer me, because he "didn't know what the price would be in the future". i was like "whatever". i'm fine with it because my cable, phone, and internet is 91 beans a month now as opposed to 140 with comcast, and im very happy with fios so far.

i wish we had fios. when i move i am going to be stuck with charter, which is worse than comcast from what i have heard.

guess who got a bill yesterday from comcast for 6 beans. i had it taken off AGAIN because i refuse to pay it.

lol. i will say, that i am dreading leaving comcast for charter. the xfinity app is awesome and everything i have heard about charter is pretty much an even worse nightmare. why wont fios come to atlanta!

i would just like an alternative. i dont understand how they dont consider cable companies a monopoly when you only have one choice depending on your location.

If your option is "use us or move" I would personally consider that a monopoly. We have 2 big name options here and a couple smaller ones that likely piggy back off of the big ones.

yeah, thats pretty much how ti works. a certain provider controls a certain area. you get one choice and that choice depends on where you live.

So I've been internetless for the past 3 days because the cabling for my apartment complex is a piece of crap and apparently, a technician came out on Thursday and fucked everything up so I lost my internet. I went out and bought a new modem too because I thought my modem had died. But in the end, it turned out the connection was messed up. I'll just return the new modem, no big deal. But it's still a pain in the ass. They were pretty quick to come out and fix the problem though.

so i just got my credit checked for a pre approval...adn the guy asked me "what is thise bill for comcast for 65 dollars?" i almost fucking lost my mind. i have n idea what that 65 dollars is for, but all i know is that it is now directly interfering with my ability to get a loan for a house. i think im going to sue them.

That is fucking ridiculous. You are not even a Comcast customer anymore and they keep billing you? They must be in some kind of financial trouble or something cause it sounds like they are trying to do some shady shit.

i have no idea. when i left, they sent me a CHECK for money that i guess i somehow paid too much at some point. a month later, i got a bill for 5 dollars. i spoke to a rep and that was supposedly taken care of. now there is a bill for 65 dollars. i dont know what it is for. this is the first time i heard of it. i fucking hate them

you paid it, but even though you paid it, they had already sent it to collections. you need to call comcast during business hours and speak to the billing dept. tell them that they sent a bill to collections that they shouldn't have, explain the situation, try to be nice and ask them to have it removed from your credit bureau or have them at least update it to say settled. apparently it can stay there and show up for a while.

irate, nope. i paid that too. i paid that bill three times. this is an entirely new number. i dont even know what its for. apparently neither do they. i called yesterday and they cant find out what it is. even they dont know what it is. thing is i had my credit ran in Jan and it was not there then. This seems to be new.

i just reported them to the BBB.

yeah. im still going to miss them once i go to charter. everyone says they are worse then cockmast. so im scurred. but i cant do dsl. just cant and wont.

comcast called me yesterday. some guy from soem other department in response to being reported to the BBB. he didn't know where the charge came from and said it was possibly "in error", and im like "error, eh?" so he took this phantom charge off AGAIN, and even sent me a letter from them saying all debts from comcast are clear. now i have to dispute it on my credit report.

i have verizon but I didn't want to make another thread to bitch about my cable company.

I have 1000 channels, about 20 sports channels. I want to watch a playoff game (dallas, oklahoma city) and it's tied with 1 minute to go and it cuts to some bullshit baseball game.

Freaking Comcast tried to jack up my internet price to $72 a month. $72 for freaking internet alone. I called them and yelled at them. They brought it back down to $42 which I still think is a lot for stupid internet but whatever. It will only be 15 Mbs download now instead of 20 but that should still be plenty of bandwidth for what I'm doing.

What's your download limit. Here we're paying $40 a month and we have a 60GB download limit.
