you didn't like it?
I knew it had to be something more than Richmond being the bad guy. I just didnt know what.
Had no idea they were gonna have a swerve like Holder being a son of a bitch.
When Belco kills Richmond now, the blame is gonna go on Linden and the police because they believed fake evidence.

I already had a feeling we weren't going to move past this story because the aunt, Terry, signed on as a series regular for Season 2.

the real question is, WHO THE FUCK KILLED ROSIE LARSEN?!?!??!

It really sucks that we still don't know, but I didn't hate the finale.

i didnt hate it at all. i actually would have been disappointed if it wrapped up that easy

I knew Holder was dirty. If you remember the first episode, the guy chasing Rosie even looks like holder. They made the guy nondescript, but it definitely wasn't Richmond, it was a scruffy white dude wearing a hoodie. Also there is no way a narco cop who gets tested positive, gets moved to homicide and put on a case like this. He was a plant. Probably owes whoever helped him keep his job in the first place.

I will say it seems kind of ridiculous that he would use Linden's badge number to make a request when he was then going to fake evidence anyways. That kind of bothered me. He just would have pretended to put in the request and then brought in the faked evidence. Either way that detail is kind of just ridiculous, especially since when that evidence made it's way to court it would have been questioned like crazy and eventually people would have found out it was fake. Which again leads to my thought that the only purpose was to have Richmond not be mayor. So either Holder was comfortable with the fact that he would eventually be charged with planting evidence and obstruction of justice, or he had someone really high up he knew would protect him.

As for who killed Rosie, it may have all just been a ploy to put stink on Richmond, to make sure he never became mayor. Maybe the mayor is wrapped up with some organized crime due to his big waterfront project. Although the Indian skull kinda rapes that whole plan...so idk. Honestly at this point, isn't she just another dead hooker? Probably used as a tool for some purpose, really had nothing to do with her at all. Certainly nothing to do with her awful butterfly movies.

I just finished watching it, so I need some time to digest... but I actually liked that ending. It totally surprised me.

I was annoyed that they put it on Richman, they spent the entire season painting him as this moral guy and it just seemed like a cop out making him the killer. Plus, if it had been him why not let Bennett take the fall and go to jail? He nearly destroyed his campaign to support the guy's innocence. This definitely makes it seem like Holder was the guy that did it, and he's probably working for the Adam's campaign. The fact that he led Linden along the trail and busted Richman right as he was about to win couldn't have been coincidence.

As the episode was ending all I could think was that for all the twists and turns it sucked they were giving it a nice ending with everything wrapped up like a gift. So when they pulled the rug out at the last second I actually respected the show more.

For the record, my wife hated it and doesn't want to watch Season 2 now. hahaha.

I agree with basically everything that those who liked it have said. I was a fan. Also I like that we don't know if Richman is dead or who was in that car. It was a cliffhanger but it was the right kind of cliffhanger. Like I'm very intrigued but I'm not pissed that they're leaving me hanging you know.

Don't forget about this show. Some news for the first time in a while.

from tvline.com
Quote:
Mitch Larsen will for certain be around for the reveal of her daughter Rosie’s killer, now that Michelle Forbes has been locked in as a series regular for Season 2 of AMC’s The Killing, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Forbes earned an Emmy nomination for her heart-wrenching portrayal of Mitch, whose teen daughter died under very mysterious circumstances. And though Season 1 wrapped with wannabe Seattle mayor Darren Richmond being wrongly pinched for — and then seemingly killed for — the murder, series boss Veena Sud assured us that in Season 2, “We will solve the investigation of who murdered Rosie Larsen — all will be revealed — and there will also be a second case that emerges.”

Speaking of the rain-drenched drama’s sophomore run, which started up production on Tuesday, TVLine can also report on two major characters joining the muddled, muddied mix. On the cop shop side of things, viewers will meet Lt. Carlson, a clean-cut, well-dressed lawman in his 50s who tends to keep tabs on which way the political winds are blowing.

Another recurring player to be introduced is Alexi, a 19-year-old Polish-American foster system vet who, with his myriad piercings and tattoos, is described as a “scary looking,” “dark” and “frightening teen who can turn on a dime emotionally.” Alexi thus is a “bad boy” who proves “attractive to teen girls looking for an adventure” — meaning he could fold into the Rosie Larsen mystery, or perhaps play a role in Season 2′s new case.

I liked it. There were certainly weak points. But I think it was worth watching.

Yeah I had an argument with the people I was watching TWD with about this show. I enjoyed it and I especially liked the ending.

Making the Mayor guy be the killer would have been lame, I'm glad it was (probably) her partner.

This was not picked up for Season 3.
And I have no problem with that. Two seasons were used to complete one story and they wrapped it up nicely.

The Killing isn’t dead yet.

A month after AMC pulled the plug on the whodunit, two potential suitors with experience bringing axed TV series back to life — Netflix and DirecTV — are in early talks with Fox TV Studios to pick up a third season of the show, multiple sources confirm to TVLine exclusively.
A rep for Netflix declined to comment, while a DirecTV spokesperson said, “We are constantly having conversations about bringing new shows to Audience Network, and we do take a look at everything that is available, but we haven’t made any decisions this summer in regards to new programming.”

This past spring, Netflix — which is behind the second coming of Arrested Development — flirted with acquiring ill-fated dramas The River and Terra Nova. DirecTV, meanwhile, rescued critical darlings Friday Night Lights and Damages from certain death.

In an interview one month before The Killing‘s cancellation, leading man Joel Kinnaman told TVLine that he believed that there was life in the show beyond the Rosie Larsen mystery that dominated the first two seasons. “We’ve invested a lot in these characters and want to see how they continue their journey,” he said. “I feel like Linden and Holder [are] just [getting] started.”

AMC’s drippy glum murder drama is in talks to return for a third season.

The basic cable network declined to renew the show earlier this year after ratings went on a downward spiral in the show’s second season. But it’s looking like the crime drama might get back on the air thanks to a new agreement between producers Fox Television Studios, AMC and Netflix.

The second season solved the show’s central mystery of who killed Rosie Larson. According to Deadline, showrunner Veena Sud is still attached and pitched a third season premise that was well received. Stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman are still on board too. If a deal is struck, The Killing would first window on AMC and then move over to the streaming service. AMC declined comment.
