From what I've gathered she was supposed to be attending the Trayvon Martin rally that day. Which reveals a bit more about the outburst. Martin was a 17 year old kid who got shot and killed by a man who was clearly racist. Basically he was at his dad's place (a gated community) watching the NBA All Star game (I believe that was what they said in the story) at the break he went to a near convenience store and bought some skittles and a Arizona Iced Tea. On his way back home this Zimmerman guy (self appointed neighborhood watch) started following him. Police received a call from Zimmerman who claimed to be following a "suspicious guy wandering around our gated community" the operator told him to stop following the kid, he refused, you can hear him mutter "fucking coons" and then he hung up. The biggest issue in the whole thing is that the police did not arrest Zimmerman. They didn't even detain him when he clearly murdered a youth. Zimmerman claims Martin attacked him or some bullshit but Martin was on the phone talking to his girlfriend seconds before he got shot why would a guy attack you with a one hand while holding a phone up to his ear with the other?

Now the FBI is investigating the whole situation. Apparently this has been a big issue in Florida recently, when African Americans are accused of a crime everything happens normally, but when a Caucasian commits a crime against an African American things have been going down rather differently.

I generally hate when people lose their shit and blame race over things, but it's justified in this case. That dude is very obviously racist and killed that kid in cold blood. You don't shoot someone while they're snacking on skittles.

Oh I forgot to mention this. Zimmerman has apparently called police about "suspicious persons" 40+ times and I believe almost every single time it was a black person. The thing is Florida has pretty fucked up "self defense" laws, so much so that many people have branded their "stand your ground" law the "shoot first law"

Shit like this is why I substantially prefer our gun control laws up here. I don't think I know a single person who has every had a gun pulled on them, or seen someone pull a gun on another. Just out of curiosity how many of you know people who have been involved in (victim to), or witness to some kind of gun related crime?

I saw my first shooting a few months ago, but no one got hurt. You probably read the story on here. My brother also heard gun shots outside his house at like 3 in the morning the other night, which is right around the corner from me. He said as he was picking up the phone to call police they came flying around and went to the house. Nothing was said to have happened though. That NEVER happens around here, so it better not be the start of a trend or else I'll be leaving this place sooner than I'd like to. People around here just love their fucking guns. I don't get it.

That lady is a god damn psycho haha.. So what if theres a backstory about a racist act in the area and she was supposed to be at a rally...she just threatened to kill that whole class basically, and was acting just as racist and anyone I've ever seen. She shouldn't be allowed in college ever again.
