We really enjoyed last night's episode. The introduction of Micchone was awesome, I was kind of hoping they'd cast Gina Torres (Firefly/Serenity) in that role but I realize she's probably a little too old for the part now. Loved the pan to the prison at the end there, it looks absolutely massive.

I had hoped that what Jenner whispered to Rick was the line he said in the comic "We are the walking dead. It would have been pretty cryptic and that would explain why it took Rick a while to put it together. I guess the reveal was so-so, everyone (the viewers) had figured it out already. Oh well, it's a show about surviving the zombie apocalypse, I'm not expecting Hemmingway.

Lori is a total cunt, she's probably the truest character to the comics. haha.

Overall I think the first half of the season suffered from a lack of direction after all the Frank Darabont controversy. It sounds like he got a pretty raw shake from AMC which sucks a lot. Still, they have a decent cast and the fact that Kirkman is so hands on gives me hope for Season 3. They must have done some serious damage control for the second part of the season and it seems to have paid off. It's a fun show, thats all it has to be.

I was waiting for some positivity before I shit it up. It was better just because there was zombies, but it's still terrible. Lori is still the queen of cunts, who never makes any fucking sense. Now we have that other old bitch saying they should go off on their own for some fucking reason. Then there was everyone flipping out over that CDC news that literally doesn't change anything for anyone. It's not like he said that you're going to turn into one of them in a fucking hour. The goal is to still not die. Whoa. The reveal shot of that new character made no sense, but I don't care about that. Some unknown with a sword is more interesting than every character on this show.

Bursting at the seams with shitty forced drama.

I'm sure if we had a Justified thread and all started watching it, Dante would start hating it over time.

Game of Thrones doesn't count because he's obsessed with it.

I could definitely shit on earlier seasons of Justified, but even then, the characters and dialogue are good enough to make it worthwhile. This new season is fantastic though.
Thrones doesn't really have much to shit on besides gratuitous sex scenes.

I also really like the show Spartacus, which I could take a big fat shit on even though I love it.

I've heard so many mixed messages about Walking Dead. Every single episode there are people here shitting on it and then I also have people on my FB who love every episode. Then there are some people in both places that hate some and love others although they also frequently do not line up.

If you didn't like Season 1 don't even bother with the rest. S1 was a lot of fun.

I like The Walking Dead overall, I've had gripes with it here and there but I still enjoy watching it every week. In all honesty the people that hold the comic up on a pedestal (myself included) aren't really doing the show any favors. The comic is really cool, just the fact that an ongoing story about surviving the zombie apocalypse in comic book form is awesome. However, It's not always the pinnacle of modern literature either.

Sometimes with a show like this hating some of the characters is part of the fun. Lori is a cunt yes, like I said she's a cunt in the comic too. Hell, the first episode she had just given Rick a bunch of shit in front of their kid and then he went to work and got shot. She's a woman, period. People on the show do stupid shit, complain about stupid shit, etc... but you know what? So do people in real life. Listen to the average conversation going on in a Starbucks and I assure you it makes the dialog in this show sound like Robert Frost poetry.

At the end of the day I'm just glad this show is on TV. There's like 20 different Crime Scene, Court Room, Gritty Police Precinct dramas on the major networks. Theres a hundred god-awful situation comedies, shit like Desperate Housewives and so many reality shows that using the word 'reality' to describe them is pretty much inaccurate. Theres mountains of shit on TV every night that I have no interest in. At least theres one show that is fun to watch and laugh when stupid shit happens.

And in all honesty, as good s Game of Thrones is, it has plenty of flaws as well. But same deal, I'm glad theres some decent fantasy on TV that isn't part of NBC's Friday line-up. Just wait until seasons 4 & 5 of that show when it turns into a pile of shit (going by the source material).

If you saw the end and are still somehow interested, the first seasons should blow your mind.

Bring that shit up when it airs so we can talk about some god damn Thrones! THROOOOOONES!

Ive been liking the show alot too. Its awesome to have a zombie show that you can watch every week. However I do hate lori as well. And her stupid kid crying like a little baby at the end.
