abortion is a rough subject. nothing will blow your mind (that is of course until it comes out hah) until you see a sonogram of a baby in there even at 4 weeks. i'll tell ya, it threw me for a loop, man. i know that's clichie, but it truly is incredible to see with your own eyes, and i just can't comprehend the thought that anyone can do that to their own child.
that said, i am against the use of federal money for use of abortions. if someone is going to go out and do that, i suppose that is on their conscious. they are going to have to live with that decision. however, i do not want my tax money, that i kick my self in the balls by working two jobs at times, used for that purpose.
Yeah I agree. For me personally, abortion is just not an option, but I'm not everyone and everyone has their right so I would never be one of those people that want to abolish it. Like Frank said, it's something that person needs to deal with.
Stem cell stuff is tricky. I used to be completely against it, but you know, it's one of those situations you can't grasp unless it's happening to you. For example, I technically have a bunch of frozen kids somewhere. Dem and I have a few years as to what we're going to do with them. They remain "ours" until that day, then we can either let other people use them or let science use them. Dem is cool with the idea of other people using them, I am not. I suggested donating them for stem cell research and she freaked out on me. I told her we will have this battle when the time comes. What I do know is that I'm not comfortable with either situation, stem cell or giving them a chance at life (without me, which I guess is VERY selfish), but something at some point needs to be done with them. So yeah, I still don't have an answer, it's just complicated when it falls on you.
edit: For the record, I will maybe donate them to a couple, but I'm just saying that I wasn't ruling out stem cell research with them. It's tricky.
