Man I'd have felt so cheated for $30. Well I can't wait to see what else will be one for 100 coins next. I thought about the Dr. Mario but hoping something better comes out.

Took me fuck ton of playthroughs but I finally beat Mom as Maggy. I can't remember all of my power ups but I definitely had the Chocolate Milk, Ouiji Board, Dead Bird, that ladder thing you buy, Growth Hormones and some other shit. Pretty sure I had full damage and pretty high speed and I had like 7 or 8 hearts.

edit: oh and I definitely had the lump of coal from beating Krampus.

Just mom? You don't really beat it until you beat Mom's Heart! Get back in thurr!

Man the ending you get for beating Mom's Heart the second time is kind of depressing.

I grabbed this the other day when I got Mighty Switch Force. It's pretty much the same as the PC version, but it has some extra levels you can access at the main menu. It's still awesome. The 3d didn't work that great though, I'm guessing because of the really simple art style.

Forgot to post that the other day. Some nice twists towards the end. And man, if you don't find the right guns for some of those fights at the end there, you are just simply dead....

Finished up this tonight. I decided to do all the time trials to get the most out of it, and I'm glad I did because even doing that, it only took like 4-5 hours. Still, I really enjoyed it. The puzzles were clever, the 3d effects worked well and it had an awesome soundtrack. I just wish it was longer.

Super Mario 3D Land (3DS) - Jan 22nd

Beat the first part got the credits and just started the special quest...Man this is the best Mario game I have played in a long time, I like it better than NSMB Wii.

NyxQuest (Wii) - 1/25
Kirby: Mass Attack (DS) - 1/25

The backlog must pay.

I was further in NyxQuest than I thought. I beat it after a short 30 minute session. It was mostly forgettable, despite some neat mechanics and level design. I also finished it in a little over 3 hours according to the game clock, so I'm thinking this is not the best purchase I have ever made.

Kirby on the other hand was a blast. It's like a Pikmin platformer, if that makes any sense. They do plenty to change up the gameplay, so it felt fresh the entire way through. There really is a ton of content in this game, and I'm not even getting into the minigames. The kirby shmup is amazing.

I played Madworld for a bit last night, so I think that might be next on the chopping block. Still have to finish NMH2 as well.

Do MadWorld. I'm surprised you never finished that considering how much you like Platinum games. Besides its over in like 4 hours.

I really wanted to try Mass Attack, who knows if I ever will.

I'm on the Frankenstein level. I was having fun until I died for the 2nd time and realized I had to do the entire level over again. I wish the levels were linear, instead of super sandboxey. At least that way I have some concept of progression. As it is, I just kill guys until the next event pops up. It seems almost random.

I dont think dying is too bad. Stages have check points from what I remember, and when you do them again you know all the sweet spots to get the most points.

Yeah I beat this a while ago but I was borrowing it from someone. I got to the special levels and stopped because I am still going to buy my own copy of the game.

So this is little separate 5 mission story where you play as Ada Wong. While you play as her you see a lot of what went on behind the scenes in the main campaign. it was weird because some things felt upgraded for HD but the items like the herbs and the cutscenes were not at all.

Finished off Mutant Mudds. Took me about 4 hours total to do everything, a whole half hour longer than Mighty Switch Force. The big difference being that it was a packed 4 hours, unlike MSF's second half of play time being dedicated to speed runs.

I kinda wish there was more to do because I liked it so much, but I still think it's worth checking out. Cool stuff.

9 dollars. I dont know if you know this, but you can also now add the right amount of funds you need now. You don't have to do it in increments of 5, 10 or 20 anymore.

I liked the art and the bosses. That's about it. I hope Aliens is better.

Excellent game.

While technically I beat that game as well, there is just so much more for me to do still that I don't consider it done. Yeah, the main storyline is over, but there are several side quests that I never completed, and I havn't even gotten all the gadgets/tech yet (there are 4 spots on the gadgets level-up screen missing still). Maybe you only get access to them on the New Game+ mode, but I don't know.... In anycase, I at least want to finish some more of the side quests before I consider this one done. I just finished Deadshot's sidequest the other night, and yeah, I died a bunch of times on him before figuring it out (in hindsight, it was pretty easy, just that I needed to remember how to move the way I needed to move).

I add games to my list once I've beaten the "final boss" or seen the credits roll. There is definitely more to do but this thread is called "Games You Beat in 2012" not "Games You got 100% in in 2012".

Something tells me that would be a short thread.

I'm in the camp that considers rolling credits to be 'finishing' the game. 100% Completion, by todays standards, is just not something I'm interested in most of the time. It would have to be pretty special to make me sit through all the grinding and collecting to to achieve 100%
