Wait a year and a half. This will be 10 bucks on Amazon and an amazing 3DS will be out by that point. Haha.

So I've kinda been keeping an eye on Shinobi ever since it released. I had assumed after the major bomba it would drop in price quickly and I could snatch it up. However I noticed that on Amazon it's kind of going up, and that it's not offered by Amazon. I went on eBay and the average price for the game is 50 dollars. Somehow within three months this game is already becoming a rare one. Sega must have done a REALLY small print run.

I checked Gamestop and they have dropped the price on a new copy to 30. I'm waiting for 20, though I'm starting to wonder if that'll happen.

So I'm still considering buying one of these. Which colour do you guys have/like the most? I'm leaning towards the black. I feel like the blue and the red might catch my eye a bit too much.

The black is what I have. I really like it. My niece has the red and it's pretty awesome. The blue is okay, it's the only one I don't really love. It still looks nice, but I prefer the black and the red.

Also, if what you mean by catching your eye is while you're playing it, they all have a black matte on the top screen.

Well Nate ended up buying the Shinobi here. I don't know how far he played it but we still have a Shinobi at Gibbstown.

just played the Snake Eater demo. i've played this one maybe 3 times so i'm pretty familiar with it. i woudl say that thigns are a bit easier to see which could be because things are stripped down to fit the smaller screen. the frame rate clearly takes a hit especially in the cut scenes.

however, i love snake and i love MGS.

Not sure I want to buy MGS3 again right after buying the HD versions. It is the best MGS, but I don't knowwwwwww. I'd really like to see Kojima do something new for the 3DS.

There is absolutely no reason to buy this version with the HD versions being the exact same price. Also, this game ran and controlled like shit.

yeah i have to agree with phil on this one. the controls were not what they should have been. thats partly because the DS just doesn't have a million buttons like a PS3 controller has. snake was sticking to stuff sometimes when i didnt want him to, and other times when i did want him to he wouldn't. plus im sure i remember there being a way to jump over low obstacles, and i couldnt figure out how to. maybe that was just in MGS4.

I should probably finish 999. Pretty sure I'm near the end of the first play through. How quick is it to go through it again with different decisions, and does it really enhance the story that much?

Fucking YES. Do it man. Here is what happened when I played it.

I slowly played it over about a month. I finished the first ending I got and when I went to restart my game and had to do the first puzzle room again I thought "There is no way this is worth the trouble." So I spoke with Frank about it, if it was worth playing through, he suggested it was. My curiosity got the best of me and I decided to instead read the story through wikipedia. I immediately felt cheated. However, it was enough to make me want to see it through because yes, it DOES enhance it that much. After that point, I plowed through nearly all of the endings and I ended up fucking loving the shit out of it.

So do yourself a favor, please take my word for it when I say to finish the game without spoiling it for yourself. It's amazing. Most emotional video game ending sequence/boss/puzzle/thing ever. So worth it.

So Rolling Western is pretty awesome. I think I can say that I am addicted to it. The mix of tower defense and the action bits work really well. The combat is actually awesome, even though it's so simple. Sliding back on the screen makes Dillon roll up in a ball and letting go launches him. Eventually he learns different moves, the big one is grinding. You hold down the screen once he makes contact with an enemy to grind them up. There is a combo meter for combat too, so once Dillon is done grinding, he jumps back and you quickly make him roll again. For every 10 hits in your combo you earn extra money. It's really addicting trying to chain his moves. Grinding is weak though, so if you're in a hurry you can melee attack bad guys by tapping on the screen right when his roll attack is about to make it's point of contact. It's so simple but it works awesome. Of course as you're fighting the bad guys are making their way to the village and you're just praying your towers are helping out. Last night's final day of Stage 3 was intense as shit.

What's interesting about the way the days work is how they scale. Your first day you have lots of time to explore the new field and find stuff. The first wave of bad guys is short. The second day is about equal parts explore and enemies. The third day you have almost no time to explore and then fight for a long while. That last day of exploration/setting up is always a mad dash before the raid.

I've also put four hours onto this and I'm not even sure I'm halfway done. So there appears to be a decent amount to do here.

Oh yeah, and my Mom bought me Shinobi for my birthday and I picked up RE Revelations the next day with some bday scratch. Loving the 3DS right now.

Edmund McMillen says that Nintendo won't allot The Binding of Isaac on 3DS because of 'questionable religious content.'

Textbook Nintendo, I was surprised anyone at Nin was even considering it.

I would rather see it on XbLa, PSN or a proper Pc release anyway (not flash).

Well, it's just questionable content period. I'd be surprised if it showed up on any platform outside of PC. You are a naked little boy. I think you guys forget this fact.
