Hahahah, after we recorded that episode I felt like we recorded one of the better Game Club episodes. And Friendasaurus KILLED ME. I'll probably listen to it sometime today. I hope I didn't come off like too much of a raving lunatic.

As a 'non-professional' reviewer of games it definitely game me some insight into how difficult it must be to remain objective for people that get paid to do this. All we got was a free copy of a $10 flash game... Image being whisked off to a weekend at the developer's studios, getting wined and dined, playing the games months before anyone else. It must be really tough to give a game a 5/10 after being treated like royalty by these guys.

And that's why publishers freak the fuck out when the game gets shit on and they pull support from that site/magazine. It does sucks, but at the same time, publishers shouldn't be wining and dining people either. There is a whole compliance issue going on there. I was just reading from some game journo yesterday about some tips on being a game reviewer and he said to deny those trips, as much fun as they appear to be.
