No, they carry over to spend, but your status starts from zero. Like I have 600 coins, but I'm 420 towards Plat status again, which is 600.

huh, it says that the whole status year starts/ends in june

Yes, every June your status gets restarted, but your bank account of coins rolls over.

There is no Jan 1st one. Club Nintendo years end and start in June. If you make 200 coins more before June you will get the gift. If you spend 300 of your 400 coins this very second that doesn't matter. It still knows you earned those 400 coins for the year.

Expires tomorrow, so they'll probably add new games the day after. But this is Nintendo, they'll probably just take those games down and wait another two weeks to put more up.

See those codes on your games when you buy them? You plug them into the site and it gives you coins. You can then get some stuff with the coins.

I've been browsing the interwebs lately looking for some of those pvc figures of Zelda or Mario. I came across a site called Mariomall.com. I found this little gem on their website.

Unfortunately this item has Mario and Luigi in opposite positions compared to the actual Club Nintendo statue. I'm debating about getting it anyway.

New games are up, and now for the bad news. The selection has already been narrowed down to two games instead of four. This month it's just Mario Party 2 for Wii and one of the Art Academy downloads for DSi, even though you're required to own a 3DS to download it. Bummer.

However they did release this slick case for 250 coins which I decided to grab.

Come with different inserts like this too.

That DS case came in the mail today. It's the same thickness as a DS case (3DS cases are thinner) and it's pretty nice. I'm not sure if I'll use it, but it was a cool freebie.

Not the best game rewards this month.

I'm very curious about Radar Mission though I'm sure it's awful. Also kind of curious about Cubello but I can't see myself playing it much. Mario's Picross is probably the best one of the three, but I can't see myself getting that when I have Picross DS.

You really can't go wrong with Picross, however there is a DS version and a planned e-shop version, so you may want to wait. Then again, it's only 100 points.

It's old, in black and white, and that's it. It's the difference between Tetris Gameboy and Tetris on Xbox.

Some decent choices for the new CN games. Two WiiWare ones, You, Me and the Cubes and Excitebike World Rally for 200 coins each, and Metal Torrent for DSi/3DS for 150.

I'm actually considering Excitebike because I wanted to get that back when it came out. I sorta want all three to be honest!

New Club Nintendo Rewards for May are Pictobits 3DS, Snowpack Park Wii, and Urban Champion 3DS.

I already own Pictobits and it is awesome! For 150 coins its a steal! The Snowpack Park doesn't interest me at all. Lastly the Urban Champion looks somewhat fun. I may end up picking that up.

Was just going to post these. Other than Urban Champion they're all interesting choices. Yeah, Pictobits is the winner here. So worth it for 150 coins. I'm interested in Snowpack Park simply because it was made by Skip, and Skip is awesome. In fact, they did Pictobits! They also did Chibi Robo. And Eco Shooter is the fourth game, which is not featured on the main page. It's a light gun game designed by Intelligent Systems, so I kinda want that too. Some nice picks here this month. Nothing mind blowing, but I'm actually kinda torn between Snowpack and Shooter.

Great selection of freebies this month. Donkey Kong 94 (GB) for 3DS, Kirby Superstar (SNES) on Wii, Brain Age Express Soduku, and Maboshi's Arcade for WiiWare, which I heard is surprisingly good when it came out.

Think I'm going to bite on Kirby.
