Also, this is some of the most shameful karting I've ever been a part of. I'm doing absolutely awful.

Another dude showed up in the Shamoozal room? Or did you guys go elsewhere?

And yeah, sorry I left. I did the two races with Smith and then the set of four with you guys. Wanted to get some more Zelda in before bed. I had fun!

Yeah, I had a lot of fun too. We just started getting whooped when that other dude showed up. No idea who it was. There were banana death traps everywhere and not a blue shell in sight.

Samesies man. DK and Diddy combo just couldn't be beat. DK/Diddy combo on Baby Park was just incredible.

ive put a little quality time on MK7 in the past few days and i'm happy to report i still have my edge. i played once online and came in first. i've gotten used to the controller nub, so now its just a matter of getting used to the ins and outs of the new courses, and of naturally settling on a fav karter. ive been hanging with mario with the standard shit latel, but went back to my OG karter, toad, for a bit.

Do differen't characters have their own stats like in MKWii? in MKWii, some characters are naturally faster than others. Like Funky Kong is the fastest of all the characters, big characters included. Daisy is the fastest of the medium sized characters. For racing, I usually went with Daisy because she had decent acceleration and she's also fast. But for time trials, most of the times, it would be Funky Kong. Not sure if that's how it works for MK7 though. But if you really want to be good at the game, you just have to download the world leader time trial ghosts and see what they do and do exactly that.

I disagree. That's the only way to be the fastest at getting through a course, but that does not prepare for the real ass raping that Kart is all about. Your perfect route through a stage is going to be blocked by bananas, shells, and god knows what else.

And MK7 probably has those stats but I dont know them yet.

Yeah, in an actual race, you're not going to have a nice track all to yourself with 3 mushrooms to use at your disgression. But the time trials will show you the best way to navigate the course so you try to do that run and try not to deviate from it. The game is really about the little things. Like how you take a turn can shave off a 0.1 seconds off of your time and multiply that by 20, that's 2 seconds which is pretty significant in a racing game. That's what I learned from MKWii.
