I agree, Paterno didnt see anything, he brought it to the people who have a responsibilty to investigate something like this. This had nothing to do with Paterno's football program, it is an administration issue since they gave Sandusky the retirement plan with the clause that he could bring kids from his charity to use the facilities at the campus.

If Mcqueary told Paterno everything he told the grand jury, then yeah Joe Pa should have followed up on this, but if Paterno is saying all Mcqueary said was he saw something inappropriate and wasnt specific then what is Paterno supposed to do. Paterno went to the admins and passed along the information, if they didnt do a proper investigation and instead just said Sandusky cant bring anymore kids here, well then they are deep shit. But I think it's crazy for people to be calling for Joe Pa and the football programs heads.

Heads should and will roll, but it should start with the administration. Everybody is ready to jump all over Joe Paterno because hes such a figure head with a clean cut image.

I think a lot of it is manipulated by the media, it takes one goon on the radio to say Penn State and Joe Paterno covered this all up and gave Sandusky a spot to abuse children. They keep saying Joe Paterno needs to answer questions and explain himself, but i dont know what they want the guy to say that he hasnt already said, he said he was told a vague story and he passed it along to his superiors. They were the ones that dropped the ball on this.

If Mcqueary actually told Joe Pa in full detail what he saw then I will be pretty upset with Paterno, but the grand jury doesnt seem to need any information from Paterno and he is not a target, so I am assuming that he is telling the truth. After all, he went to the admins and told them what Mcqueary told him. I dont see why he would leave out any information.

These guys are all assholes. If you have a suspicion that someone is hurting kids. Even if you don't know the extent, you fukin find out about it. You don't just sit back and pretend nothing is wrong. Fuck these guys, I don't give 2 shits how good they are at coaching, they should all be fired and go to jail for negligence and child endangerment.

What do you want Paterno to do get out his CSI kit and investigate it? He didnt see anything and was told vaguely about something that somebody else witnessed and he went to the people whose job it is to investigate it and contact the authorities if necessary, they chose not to do that and they should be punished for it.

I'm sorry, but when it involves children, there is a higher level of action required. Like why did he not find out more about this story? Why did he not find the kid? He may not be in charge of the organization, but he certainly knows what is going on in it. I don't believe for one minute those guys didn't know something creepy was going on. If it gets to the point where a guy is openly butt raping a 10 yr old, in what I assume is a facility that his organization uses a lot and no one had any idea? I call bullshit.

Yeah cause that sounds logical, everybody who used the facility there knew what was going on and just said there goes Sandusky raping kids again, lets leave him be.

Im not trying to be a douche but I dont think Paterno is in the wrong, I agree that the two guys in front of the grand jury should be in jail for a very long time, because they were given the lead and they dropped the ball, they basically told Sandusky not to bring kids around anymore so it doesnt seem like they did much of an investigation.

I'm not saying that everybody using it knew, but I cannot believe that it wasn't known. Even if they didn't know he was literally raping kids, they still had to know he was doing something creepy. I mean honestly, before a fiddle fingers is brought to justice, there are always stories and rumors and shit. You cannot keep shit like that quiet for long. I just don't believe they didn't know. You are entitled to think they didn't. That is your opinion. I do not believe it.

I agree there was some shenanigans going on, believe me. But it seems as if Joe Paterno is being portrayed as the villian in this whole case, he did what he thought was right with the information he was given. Could he have done more? Sure, but I cant say what he did was wrong.

Like I said, he did what was required of him. I don't really give a shit what the press says, I am just saying personally, when children are involved, just doing what is required is not enough.
