Also, I think they think that because I'm leaning towards doing this plan they're not coming out and fixing the problem in the meantime. I spoke to the woman and said I was waiting for a call today from them or the owner about whats going on. She said she'd call the technician that was out yesterday to see what he did. She calls back saying she talked to the sales person Rich, the other guy I spoke to about the plan. She sets up a time with the energy audit dude to come out (Tuesday morning). I say "So thats it? There's nothing else?" she said she didn't know what I meant. I asked her if she spoke to the tech because I still have an issue that isn't fixed. She was confused and didn't know I was dealing with two things at once so then she said she had to get back to me again. That was like two hours ago. :|

Yeah it looks easy to fix. Where'd you get the part? It's basically like that battery, right?

Yeah that was going bad on mine, I bought a 12 dollar hard start kit and its been fine since.

Times are slow people are foaming at the mouth to make money, its really sad. That's why i question this 10,000 dollar thing.

I would LOVE to take mine to that store with me, but the tech TOOK IT WITH HIM! I saw a sticker on the inside of the unit that had a picture of it, so I'm going to pop it open and see what it says. I dont remember the voltage its supposed to have.

That supply store is apparently closed on the weekends, so I managed to order the part off eBay instead. I was able to look up the part by finding a PDF of the AC model. Should be here by Thursday. Only cost 30 dollars (including shipping). Absurd they were charing 221 for the part on my bill, the other 80 was for labor. You know, the fives minutes it takes to screw the plate off the unit and plug three wires into the capacitor.

I've been saying that for a while now, I'd go after the Home Inspector (unless he noted that the heater would be a concern), the Township for approving that and giving the CO to something that obviously didn't have permits and wasn't inspected. And the joker who did the original unit, he had no right doing that job because he obviously had no idea what he was doing.

That being said, a lawsuit will cost you even more money and time, which I'm sure you don't have.

I was thinking of just doing a thing for small claims court. The limit for small claims is 15k so Im right at the end of that. I dont have the money to do an all out lawsuit, though I would like to at least speak to a lawyer.

I checked my inspection and it said that the heater wasn't finished being hooked up and that it needed to be checked at closing. Which it was... until it broke that night.

Yeah I want to see what the guy says when he comes out here. If they don't roll in my 5k into the 10k then they can fuck themselves and I'm not doing it for sure.

this isnt about an ac heater, but i feel it works here. i woke up early this morning cause we are launching a new application today. well my fridge was dead, big puddle of water, all kinds of shit melting inside the freezer. not good. so i had to rush out this morning and get one before getting to work. which of course meant i didnt get into work until 1130. And of course this application is a massive failure. i hate all of it.

I dont know the average life of refridgerators but mine is between 15-20 years old. So I'm just waiting for the day that sucker decides to die.
The only problem I've had with it is the door is a little warped so I have to duct tape the shelves in place. haha

i know they should last longer than 5 years.. but this one has been making whale noises (idk how else to describe it) for a few years now..so i was kind of worried about it dying. then the other day the water line to it sprung a leak and i had to fix that, which was really not too bad. 25$ kit later everything was fine. then last night the icemaker drawer fell out on my shin and the icemaker stopped working completely. so i figured I would be shopping for a new fridge next weekend. i guess when that shit happened a chain reaction of other shit happened that killed the whole thing. idk. luckily the guys at the appliance store were pretty cool. usual delivery turnaround is 2 days, they are getting it to me tomorrow.

Something was wrong with the AC at my placement and now they've turned it off completely to do work. It's like a goddamn sauna in here.

so i was faced yet again this summer with not having access to the AC window units. last year, mine was locked in a storage room that i didnt have a key to. this year, im staying with my fiancee and her two ACs are currently being stored at her mom's house...in massachusettes. 4 hours away. we were gonna try to pu tup with the heat until her annual trip up there in three weeks from now, but today we caved. we went to lowes and bought a smaller unit for 160, and thrrew it in the kitchen window. shit's doing real well in there.
