Today is Match Day for medical school students and I am pleased to announce that my wife has made her #1 match in the bay area of Northern CA. So come this summer, should everything go according to plan, I will be relocating to the bay area. Good bye East coast. I've never lived on the west coast before so this should be an interesting experience. I don't really expect any major differences except for the fact I'll be far away from my friends.

Crazy stuff man. And when is your wife due?
Thats gonna suck for the family not being able to see the baby often. But to further the career I'm guessing its a no brainer. Good luck with that.

Thanks. Yeah, it's going to be a pretty crazy summer for us. Hopefully everything will work out well.

Somehow, I get the feeling he wouldn't want to hang out with me.

Sounds awesome, don't start sniffing your own farts when you get to Cali though.

Check out Fishermans Wharf. Thats about the only cool thing I remember from SF. I've been there twice for conferences. It's nice, but a little dirtier than I thought it was going to be. Their bums are lazy too, not like the ones in DC that actually work for their money. There was one cool street performer who was banging on water jugs and trash cans, but that was it.
Also we were going to take a trolly until we found out how expensive they are, they're basically tourist traps.
If you're planning on doing much walking, wear comfortable shoes, the hills are pretty brutal.

Oh and enjoy Cali RC. The weather is gorgeous and the area's i was in were nice, but everything just seemed so much more expensive. Hope it all works out well for you.

Housing prices have actually dropped significantly out there. But still, you can't compare housing prices of CA to South Jersey.

By the way, submitting resumes and job hunting sucks ass... UGHHH.
