I feel like it's not accepted as a legitimate score because it's attached to a cartoon, compared to movie soundtracks. I'd say it's comparable though, and I'd say I enjoy it more than even the blockbusters that come out.

Post some of your favorites.

Bleach has the best OST out of any show/movie i've seen. I actually checked to see if some people like Hans Zimmer have done any anime work, and he has!

Make sure you use the "old embed code".

I caught up once the last arc ended, the canon episodes are insanely good compared to the older ones.
but like all the main anime's, filler arcs are a huge turn off.

It's funny, I haven't watched that show in like 2+ years, and whenever I skim through a new episode it seems like it hardly progressed. The last non filler arc I saw was that first Soul Society arc, and the next logical step was going into that 'hell' like place after Aizen, and they're still there. At least they were when I last looked.

This is the part where I would hunt down all my favorite Yoko Kanno tracks and post them here, but I don't have time.

It's so fucking geeky, but when I was a teenager and everyone was finding bands to get into it, I was listening to Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop, and Macross Plus. Haven't listen to those in ages, but I imagine most of them hold up really really well. Her music is just great. I heard some of her work in Ghost in the Shell and really liked it. I sort of want to just download soundtracks to shows I never even saw before just to hear some of her newer stuff because I'm so out of the loop. The one thing I miss about anime is geeking out to her music. So much good stuff.

This.

I actually started watching Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society because of the sound track.

It's not very good...

That's a bummer but sort of expected. Is the music at least good?

Yeah, the music is pretty awesome. That's the main reason why I started watching it. I actually had some playing at my reception for those with a keen ear :P.

haha I forgot about that, I love that opening.

by the way the aizen arc ended, you could probably catch up in a week if you ignored the awful fillers, there was about a year of filler arc last year.

I like ghost in the shell, is SSS one of the movies though?

I took Russ' advice and downloaded one of the Ghost in the Shell soundtracks. So far it's pretty good, I like it. I'm in a Yoko Kanno mood but I currently don't have much of her music on me. I'm trying to download Escaflowne, Macross Plus and some others but I'm not having any luck at all. :\

got some "secret of mana +" going. i remembr back in the day ordering this thinking it woudl be the OST to the game, but it wasnt. its this one long ass track of music which is kind of inspired by the game. i also remembering hating it at first and feeling let down. in time i grew to love it. havent had it on in years. it sounds pretty good to these ears hah
