That's kind of what I thought, but I wasn't sure if there was a super natural element that might be in the comics, but Steve pointed out no. So I was probably just reading into it. That's good, I would prefer him not to have visions.

And good thought Steve about the zombies being lured there.

i was a little disappointed with the way it started. but once it got to the end I understood why they started it that way. all around a great episode.

so i have one question, why the hell aren't they just stealing loads of cars/trucks and taking them back to camp? there would have top be thousands of them.

right, but then they had no issues stealing a brand new dodge challenger that had plenty of gas in it...dealerships always keep their cars gassed up. i would imagine there would be lots of them there. unless there was just one random, pristine dodge challenger gassed up. obviously this was product placement..but still, seems like there would be shit all over the place that people had abandoned.

Lots of cars = lots of noise = zombietime.

I loved the episode, the super hard mexican homies turn out to be heroes of the elderly.

I figure more people post in here, but can we adopt a spoiler policy of "if it's in spoiler tags, it's a book spoiler" for this thread and for the Game of Thrones thread? We don't spoiler tag episode info that already aired, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

i started watching this ondemand today. Zombies have never interested me, but since it's only 6 episodes i figured i'd give it a shot. I enjoyed what i've seen so far. How many episodes have aired so far?

I was just thinking about how this show had a lot of characters and it would take some time to really get to know each one (like in LOST) but then the zombies invaded and took out a couple of them. There's still a pretty big ensemble cast and I'm not good with their names yet. But this show still does it for me week after week. Maybe a quick first season will be perfect to keep it fresh. Season 2 was announced to be 13 episodes so that one will probably drag out a bit.

I'm sure it will be interesting but I just dont know where it will go.
I've never seen a zombie TV show where they have to keep building the story. I've only seen zombie movies where everything is wrapped up in less than 2 hours. But AMC is great with characters and story so I'm sure it will be fine. I just don't see this becoming a really long series.

well it seems like the zombies are just a catalyst for people doing fucked up shit to each other. i mean zombies are indeed a 1 track storyline, but what people end up doing to each other when there is no law or consequence... the potential for fuct up story lines is endless.

Assuming the comic its based on is good, it has plenty of material to work from. So there's always that.

Yeah without spoiling anything, if they continue following the comic then they've just barely scratched the surface. They could easily get 4-5 seasons out of whats been done so far.

yeah, i feel like the fact that there is a zombie invasion is only the background to the story here. its the scene that everything takes place in and allows them to concentrate on the characters. im sure it miay have been explained, but i dont even care why or how a zombie invasion happened. i just buy into it, because the focus on the characters is so strong.

I'll probably forget to do this over the holiday break so I'm doing it now.

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 28TH AT 10PM EST ON AMC
Wildfire
After a zombie attack, Rick and the group set off for the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, and Jim must face a life-or-death decision.

I kind of wish Canada's Thanksgiving was in November. There are literally 0 days off school during this month, not even a PD day.

cool episode. im guessing 2 things. 1) that doctor guy isnt the best doc on staff. im guessing he's a fuck up since he goes and blows up all the specimens. 2) the go back and grab that guy they left by the tree to get a fresh brain sample.

great series so far. really good stuff. when that lady was beating the shit out of her dead husband's mellon, it was intense. pretty grusome.

The preview for the next episode looks batshit crazy! I'm so disappointed that the season is ending, I hope they have S2 ready to go asap.

Anyone else been entering the Zombie walk on contest each week? I would love to get slaughtered as a zombie on this show.

The scene at the CDC totally reminded me of LOST when they first showed Desmond down in the Hatch.
Next week is the season finale. Shits getting pretty wild. They seem like they'll be pretty secure at this new place but it also looks like Shane goes bonkers.

I said the same thing to Dem when it was happening.

On an completely unrelated note, yesterday I found out that the guy in the hatch with Desmond is the voice of Mr. Krabs.
