Thanks guys, but no that's just personal work. I make sure I do some form of color study once a day whether it be a landscape or still life. I just took a pot from my kitchen and set it down on my desk haha.

A Sargent copy, I'm not really too crazy about this one to be honest. I need to do more.

Still not bad.

Did you have a class to teach you how to do digital paintings or have you come this far on your own?

yes and no. I know a lot about photoshop but really all I'm doing is applying what I learned from my oil painting classes to digital to get a good look. And thanks Frank. :)

Not a sketch or a doodle, but we have these little cheese wheels at work. They come covered in red wax and are pretty delicious. I found myself playing around with the wax one day and I threw this little guy together out of the blue. Pictures are shit because my cell phone camera is shit. My warrior now resides on top of my PC here at work. Oddly enough, he is the first figure I have at my desk here.

That's really cool, haha.

I don't know why, but taking big bites of cheese is disgusting to me, haha. Those cheese wheels make me want to vomit.

the figure studies are nice. i have a crit on the landscape though. i can see all the brush strokes and they're all the same size. are you using a brush in PS to create them? try to vary the length , size and thickness to give a bit more sense of space. the color looks great in it.

Indeed Frank. I just downloaded a new brush pack by mathias verhasselt (a god). I definitely need to vary up the sizes and spacing with it all. The plants are too big in the back, you're right.
