I am considering putting in an offer for a house and it has a hot tub on a deck that comes with it. I am trying to find out how much it cost to run one. I like the idea of a good soak, but am not sure if it is worth it if it is going to run me over $50 a month in electric bills. I hat the idea of buying a house with a hot tub and having to sell it.
Anyone on here have a hot tub that can provide some info? I have read things ranging from $30-$100 a month to run one.

Keep in mind i would only want to run it every now and then.

I'd say closer to the 100 dollar range, my dad used to complain about his constantly. It has to keep the water pretty much at a constant 100-103 degree, during the winter I can only imagine that thing would rock your electric bill. I don't have one though, and those are only guesses. Ask Mark, he might have a better idea.

If we do land the house I know I have to make a decision on selling it before I ever use it because once I take a soak there is no way I will talk myself out of keeping it.
