No contest. Wacom is built for and only tablets. Apple's will be no different from a standard Tablet PC. The cost of putting the same number of pressure sensitivity controls and whatnot would jack up the price 10-fold.

Yeah you're getting drawing tablets confused with the new "tablet" buzzword that is getting thrown around. Everyone is trying to make their strange iPhone/Laptop hybrids. I don't really get the point of it TBH.

I've never been so underwhelmed by a product reveal. This makes the PS3 debut look smart. Christ, it is at worst an underpowered computer and at best a giant iPhone. 500 bucks for the smallest version with only WiFi. What a piece of crap. I can't think of anyone in my life who would buy this thing.

I don't agree. Well yeah, some of those people will buy them for that reason. But like this article points out, there are several large reasons why this is not up to par with most netbooks:

The device claims to be a kind of in-between of laptop and phone device, and that just leaves it in some kind of awkward crevice of being close to neither.

The only people I see buying this are Mac nerds who simply have to own every gizmo they make. Or people who have more money than they know what to do with. And I know those people exist. But this is just such a specialty item that I just can't picture it taking off within the mainstream.

I haven't seen it/read about it yet, but i'm mildly interested at $500.
I've wanted a touch screen/tablet PC for a long time, but never had a reason to justify the cost. At $500 I could probably justify it to myself if the specs were reasonable.
