So here's the deal recently I've been playing drums along to Eminem and I'm really enjoying drumming to rap so I need some rap with good beats. Recommendations for artists/albums that I should get for this would be sweet!

Also does anyone know of any good headphones to drum with (probably Joe lol) I don't know if they should be noise canceling or not. I'll look into it some more.

Pretty much any rap will do beat machines are cool too cause I can freestyle over them and they make it easier to keep time.

Not sure about beats or rap since it's not my forte, but as far as headphones go, Vic Firth makes some awesome isolation headphones for drumming for around $50. The whole idea of headphones for musicians (drummers especially) in the first place is to be able to hear the music your playing to. Drums are a loud instrument, so with a normal set of headphones you would most likely have to turn up the volume really loud to compensate for the instrument volume, Ultimately causing ear fatigue, headaches and even hearing loss. Using isolation headphones reduces the listening level and allows you to play along with music without hearing too much of the instrument itself.

Anyway, I use the Vic Firth Isolation headphones for the studio and they work absolutely great. It comes with an 1/8" plug and 1/4" adapter. Not sure of what you're looking to spend, but $50 isn't bad for a set of isolations.
