There are only 7 major notes in music and 12 if you count sharps and flats, so my guess is that bands are gonna have to start recycling the same melodies eventually. Kinda wierd all the music in the world is derived from only 12 notes played in different octaves.

Yeah, all western music pretty much move in the same format, especially if it's pop or rock.
