CKY - An Answer Can Be Found
DevilDriver - The Fury of Our Maker's Hand
Bam Margera Presents Viva La Bands
Biohazard - Means to an End
Static-X - Start A War

so far I like what I hear from CKY (havent heard it all yet)
DD is awesome (Phil, its the old Coal Chamber singer but they are way way heavier)
the Viva CD isnt that great (good thing I burned it and didnt buy it)
Biohazard doesnt come out until August but I burned an early copy and it sounds exactly like all their other CDs, thats OK I guess.
and Static X is great!! I'm lovin it.

yeah thats all, i just got bored and felt like writing that
that gives me an idea for another thread....

I just picked up the new NIN. F-ing incredible is all I have to say! Dave Grohl is on the drums, which is awesome, as usual. Speeking of Grohl, the new Foo Fighters album is not all that great. Maybe it was because I was expecting more, but the more I listen to it the more I appreciate it. Also a great album that I've been telling everyone about is Muse - Absolution. It's one of my all time favorites, right there along side of the new one by Billy Ray Cyrus - No One Can Touch My Sister But Me.

I burned the new Dope, American Apathy, but I havent listened to it yet.
I downloaded new Chimaira, self titled, but I havent burnt it yet.

Both dont come out until August so I got early birds.
I think I will actually buy Chimaira because they are an awesome band, Dope can wait for another time.

Burned new Clutch - Robot Hive/Exodus
all clutch is good clutch
I need to get a Clutch shirt which can have double meaning for the band and for actually being clutch in things.

Burned Chimaira self titled.... awesome!

Listened to Dope - American Apathy, its just ok.

I will continue to contribute to this thread....

I picked up the Ozzfest 2005 Summer Sampler CD at a giveaway tent at Ozzfest yesterday. Its got pretty good stuff on there. basically its just one song from each band on the bill.
instead of a sabbath song they give you songs from Ozzy, Iommi, and GZR which are solo bands of Black Sabbath members. its a good listen!

once again i will continue to contribute to all these continuous threads that no one gives a shit about....

Mandy got me a CD for our anniversary, Bleeding Through - This Is Love, This Is Murderous.

Its pretty goddamn awesome, I am kinda mad that at Ozzfest 2004 I only watched one of their songs and then went to get food and drink. I would like to check them out now.

I think I am the only one that still buys CDs.... or maybe just no one likes to contribute to the Smorg as much as I do.

I know for a fact people watch movies but barely anyone does the Rate the movie section and I know Scott downloads CDs and burns them but he doesnt put it in this section. I am all about this place hahaha

I just bought the Foo Fighters CD. I saw the Dane Cook one there but I didn't pick it up. I was thinking about picking up Deuce Bigalow for 12 bucks but I didn't.

I pre-ordered the Dane Cook CD from Comedy Central in the beginning of June because I thought they wouldnt get a lot of copies in Best Buy and I would miss out (thats what Dane told his fans). So apparently they shipped it on Saturday and I expected it by the day it was released in stores, Tuesday. NOPE!!!!
I still didnt have it by yesterday which was Wednesday and I know several people that bought it at Best Buy for 11.99.... I paid 18.99 plus shipping. I think it was 22 something total which I didnt think was bad since its a double CD and a DVD. So basically Best Buy and Dane Cook ripped me off. Dane Cook said to do this pre order because we will get it on the day its released AND we would get a special gift. I better get a goddamn great gift TODAY in the mail because I am pissed that people can listen to Dane's new shit and I cant.

I got the Dane Cook CD finally and I was royally fucked. I didnt get a special gift because it was only for a limited number of people like 3000 and I guess I didnt pre order fast enough. So everything was a waste of time and I should have just bought it for 10 bucks cheaper at Best Buy. Fuck you Dane Cook and Comedy Central, you screwed me.

But I cant stay mad at Dane.... the CD is goddamn hilarious!!! Oh I forgive you, just think of the extra 10 bucks as my support to your cause. The cause of rockin my skull with a comedy assault.

I don't buy to many CDs, and lately I haven't been downloading many MP3s either. Do you guys use Limewire? It seems like it's the only program worth using for that stuff, but I might be out of the loop. Anyway if you must know (and you already do know) the most recent CDs I bought recently is the new Gorillaz disc, Demon Days, which is okay. There are like 3 really good songs, a lot of awful ones, and a handful of decent ones.

Aside from that, the other latest CD I picked up is the score to Star Wars Episode III, which I listened to a lot when I first got it but haven't really touched it recently. It's got some depressing tracks on there so it's something I gotta be in the mood for. Battle of Heros is an incredible track though.

Uhhh, I think they're the only two I bought over the last I guess 3 months. I thought about buying the new Cold Play, but I'm not a fan of the songs they're playing on the radio, and one day on 88.5 they played the whole CD and I didn't remember much from it, so I never bothered to get it. Yes, I like Coldplay....

Oh well, there you have it.

The new Coldplay is alright, I've been listening to it. I'll probably like it more the more I listen to it.

I use Limewire for getting single songs and then bit torrent shit for getting albums, I dont usually keep full albums but pick and choose which ones I really like and save them.

I burnt the new Disturbed - Ten Thousand Fists only because it doesnt come out for a while. I plan on buying it when it does come out, a lot of the songs sound like the first Disturbed album with the WAAA KA KA noises. Its pretty damn good from what I heard so far.

burned "Blindside - The Great Depression" and I must say its decent at best. They dont go crazy as much like they used to and kinda toned down the screams in a lot of songs. its still not bad, i'll give it a listen another time.

I got "Still Remains - Of Love and Lunacy" for my birthday and its an awesome, AWESOME CD. I mean thats if you like metal. If you dont like the screams mixed with some melody then forget about it. This is the style I am really into right now. (Killswitch Engage, Soilwork, Atreyu, It Dies Today)

I'm not particularly a fan of meaningless screaming in songs.

ok me either, but its not meaningless in my opinion.

i'm not a fan of pop songs that arent even written by the artist, who are basically born with a good voice and have no other musical ability.

I know I burned this a few weeks ago but I enjoy this band so much that I went out and bought it yesterday when it was OFFICIALLY released. Chimaira's self titled album is brutally awesome! I am really diggin it.

Yeah, I used to be really against the fact that pop songs are written by guys in suits but I don't really care anymore. If it's catchy, I'll listen to it.

But I think we can all agree on one thing though. The Erwin band's songs are unlistenable. ARGHHHHH. Just thinking about them makes me go insane. It eats away at the brain and turns it into mush.

Backstreet Boys - I Want It That Way

Backstreet's back alright!

I havent had a chance to listen to any of these yet but I just burned....

Soulfly - Dark Ages (hits stores Sept 20)
Ill Nino - One Nation Underground (hits stores Sept 27)
Iron Maiden - The Essential Iron Maiden

I'll let everyone know how they are (not that anyone cares) once I get a chance to listen to them.
