High school friends on their way to fame

I have a friend from High school named Tommy Staudt and this guy is easily on his way to make it in the music biz. He's already got an album on iTunes and is being booked for shows around Colorado.

Anyone else have any childhood/high school friends who made it in the music biz?

Cool stuff man, he sounds pretty good.

And yea, I don't know what you'd consider "making it in the music biz," I have friends who have made an honest living at playing in a band or instrument, but none of them are famous or anything. I mean you can scratch out a living if you sound pretty good and you don't mind going from town to town to play in bars, selling cds and t-shirts out of the back of your van.

A buddy of mine Steve does all the video direction for a band that tours overseas and stuff. He just got back from a few weeks in London with the band Bamboo Shoots. He actually just sent me a video today of something he made that got put on MTV Iggy, whatever that is.

And I kid I was cool with in high school is a major league pitcher now. I played football with him, we were two of four wide receivers. I left that high school after sophomore year and stopped talking to him but I gave him a Yo Whats Up on Facebook back when I added him. But I guess this thread is more about the Music biz.

Happy Harry (one of my favorite flash animators) posted on his twitter his sister's music. I'm surprised she hasn't gotten a lot of attention, she has a great voice and the song is goddamn catchy if I do say so myself.

(then again there is very little music I DON'T like)

It wasn't highschool, but I had a history course with Lindsey Vuolo my freshman year in college. The next year she was a playboy playmate.
