they are going to replace the control arms on my car for free. the service manager said it was under warranty, but I find that hard to believe. i think the original tech screwed my shit up and they are rectifying. either way, im just glad my car will not be fuct up.

so they replaced the control arms on my car..it still pulls to the right. they swapped out the tires i just bought with stock tires to see if that was the problem..still pulls to the right. they have no idea what is wrong with it. so it has to stay over the weekend. i cant believe something as simple as an alignment could have become such a pain in the ass.

oh yeah. the service manager updates me every step of the way. he totally has been cool about it. he replaced the control arms for free to try to fix it. he test drove it himself and he just can't figure it out. so he just wants more time. lucky they gave me a loaner. otherwise i would be fucked.

yeah thats decent of them.
I guess it pays to bitch. Or rather bitching gets people to do what they should've done in the first place.

yeah, the email i sent was less bitching and more just trying to be reasonable, which tends to work most of the time. I mean it wasn't an issue and now it is, so it isn't like I am making it up. Plus my family has bought 3 cars from this particular dealer, so that probably also had a little to do with it. But they seem to genuinely want to keep good word of mouth recommendations. Either way, I just hope they figure out wtf it is.

did you give spikers mom a ride anywhere? If she was in your passenger seat I could see how it could permanently cause the car to pull right.

I somehow broke the handle on my car door. I grabbed it this morning and something inside snapped. It's still attached, but it is now useless. Of all the tiny things to go wrong, this is one of the worst. I now have to get in my car through the passenger side and climb over.

Bummer man. :(

Dem is trying to convince me we made the wrong car purchase last year and that we should trade in her brand new car to get a bigger one. We can't afford it and I keep telling her no. It all happened because when we put the new baby seats in they take up so much room. I basically have to sit in the car with my knees touching the dash. It's really tight. I keep telling her though it'll be better when the seats can be flipped around to normal position in a few months. I hope she gets this idea out of her head.

Having to always get into my car from the passenger side is so fucking annoying. I'm 6'3, climbing over the center is not fun.

Yeah I didn't picture Dante being that tall for some reason.
I will always picture him as a kid because he was really young when he started coming here.
I'm 28 years old and 5'9", the tallest in my immediate family. haha

All the regulars that have been here for years have all growned up man.

Which sort of depresses me slightly. Hahaha.

Yeah man, I'm 19 and about 5'9"-5'10". I've been coming here for 4.5 years, so I was about 14 going on 15 when I started out on the Smorg.

For quite a while now I've had trouble starting my car on cold mornings. It turns over, it just won't start. It only happens when it's cold so it's confusing the hell out of me. After a few minutes of retrying it will start, but sometimes I have to let it sit for about 5-10 minutes between retries.
At first I thought it was water in the gas tank or something so I've been putting dry gas or fuel system cleaner in every couple of fill ups for the past couple months.
The engine isn't missing or running rough after it start, so I have my doubts it's the ignition wires, plus I just had my spark plugs changed 10-15k miles ago.

I'm thinking of taking it to a dealer to see if there are any Powertrain Control Module (PCM) updates I can get. I've never done that before, actually I've never taken my car to a dealer at all, so I have no idea what to expect as far as price.
Anyone have any experience with software updates for their car and how much that costs? I know a new computer module can be expensive, but based on what I'm reading online, I should be able to just get the updates.
