I haven't mowed my lawn in over a month and it was totally out of control. My in laws are coming over this weekend so I figured I have to make the place look presentable, not to mention the fact I should just mow the damn lawn anyway. So last night I mowed the lawn and it was the most intense lawn mowing of all time. I never had to cut grass that high... I should be ashamed of myself for letting it get so out of hand. I took the bag off the mower and just mulched that shit right into the ground. I had to go over a few spots multiple times.

Today I have to do the rest of the yard and I'm not looking forward to it. I thought it was cool that our house has three big trees around it but now I hate it. All they do is shed bark and leaves and drop sticks all over the place. I didn't even bother raking that shit up when I mowed, I just went right over top of it all. There are weeds and leaves all over the place. It's going to take me pretty much the duration of the day to do the whole thing. I should have took before and after pictures because it already looks completely different.

What a nightmare. I hate yard work.

How do you mulch your grass clippings?
Its pretty ridiculous that NP doesnt pick it up anymore. I used to just throw a bag of grass on the curb and they would pick it up within a couple days. Now I try sneaking it in with my trash and they caught on to me. So I'm gonna give my Dad my bags of grass because WD actually still picks that shit up. Ridiculous.

Last time they caught me, they left me a note saying to mulch my own grass because NP no longer does it. How do I mulch my own grass?

by the way, my grass is pretty long too. My dog can pretty much hide in it since I havent mowed in a month.

Yeah I hate old dead grass sitting all over my lawn though.
I dont give a shit about the look of my lawn but for some reason I still hate when its all over the place from not having the bag on. Plus I'm incredibly lazy and only cut the lawn once its noticeably too long.

Well thats mulching your own grass clippings haha

The lady next door always puts her grass in a trash can and leaves it right in front of my house, they still think its me doing it and I get a note in my mailbox pretty much once a month.

Yard work is a whore daddy, I hate it. Last Wednesday I dedicated my night after work to yard work, I started sucking up some leaves and hit the mother load of Box Elder bugs. Asbolutely disgusting, why they like my house so much is beyond me.

It's one of the downfalls of living in the suburbs. How much money do you guys spend on watering the grass? That's another real pain in the ass thing to do. Or you can opt for the auto sprinklers but I think that might get expensive. The yard really takes a lot of work to have it look nice.

Atleast yall didn't grow up a military brat like I did. I had to cut the grass EVERY week, because if it got over 3 inches they give you a ticket. Then if you get too many tickets your Dad or Mom has to report to their Commanding Officer and explain why their grass is too long. My first job was cutting grass, and after coming home from work I would have to cut the grass at my house. Now we just pay people to do it for us.

It doesn't rain enough. The grass dies. Don't you care about resale value?

Yea screw watering the grass. I havent had to mow the front in awhile cuz its been so hot and that shit hasnt been growing. It needs to be cut now tho. I was doing it every other week at the beginning of the summer. That way you dont get grass clippings anywhere since us parkers have to mulch our own yard. But yea I never once watered it. Gotta save money on that water bill.

I agree that it doesnt rain enough, all these new developments I'm working in have all dead sod in the front because theres no trees to give it shade and its just burning.

Still that being said, I think watering your grass is a waste of water. Go Green. haha
