The wife was supposed to go to Ocean City MD Friday-Monday but now she has to cancel it because they put out a notice saying it was going to be insane around that area.
Also supposed to be doing a pub crawl around Philly for my buddy's bachelor party and that's probably not going to happen either. All depends on when it starts looking nasty outside.

HAHAHAHAHA I forgot about that character. At least he was having fun at a time where wrestlers weren't doing that anymore.

I'm getting on the roof tomorrow and trimming some branches. I don't need a branch knocking out my power and cable during the storm. I wish it was a Hericane, Herieggs falling from the sky, I've had enough rain/snow for one year.

Yeah, I don't know where I want to park my car during the storm.... We have part of the top of a tree that snapped off during the last few storms, but it is caught up in the trees still and won't come down yet. I sure bet this storm shakes it loose. It is about 15-20 foot branch/tree-top and probably weights a good 80lbs or more, with a good 30-40 feet to fall still. I don't want my car anywhere near that sucker...

Got everything put away into the garage this morning in prep for the storm. I even put Dem's car in the garage, it's the first time I've ever put a car in there. Garage was a disgrace, it needed a good clean up. But yeah, everything is in there. I'm hoping this storm isn't too bad, but it does look insane on the weather channel right now.

Speaking of which, I love these weather channel guys just standing out there getting blown all over the place, it's great.

I gotta clean out the basement next. Dem is all paranoid and wants to spend the night and tomorrow down there. I don't mind my basement, but I'm not going down there until I really have to.

Watch this be no worse than a regular storm.

Its supposed to rain haha why run for cover? I'll eat my words if I'm wrong but its just like every other storm around here, weather men panic over nothing trying to justify the ridiculous salaries they make. John Bolaris is an asshole, so is Hurricane Schwartz.

Yeah I kind of get the feeling its not going to be a big deal, but I guess you never know People are just going nuts, Demi included.

A friend of mine posted this on FB last night. It's apparently the bread isle in Walmart.

Hahaha. These people make it like they're going to be trapped in their home for days. It's ONE day. And if I'm not mistaken, most of this thing is going to roll through during the night anyway. When is it exactly supposed to get to us?

Or Skim milk haha. I think we're supposed to get steady rain from this afternoon until late tomorrow, the hardest tomorrow morning. This is a good test to see if my basement stays dry. I can't wait to watch it, I love myself a lazy stormy day, our circle is gonna be ridiculously flooded.

well with flooding and damages caused by wind (trees down etc) I could see things being out of whack for longer than a day.... I just don't think it's going to be that bad.
We had a tornado come through a few weeks ago and people were going apeshit. My power went off for a few minutes and some roads were closed for about a week because of trees, but otherwise it wasn't bad. I mean no stores were closed and there were always detours to get around closed roads.

I'm far enough west it doesn't look like we're going to get anything but a thunderstorm.

I remember the one day in high school when we were supposed to get a hurricane and they canceled school. It turned out to be one of the nicest days ever.

I just looked at the projected path, it does look pretty serious. Keep me updated!

Well, we made it thru so far without any real damage. Sump-pump is running every 16 seconds, and we have some dead branches down (but not the one I was expecting, that sucka is really wedged up there good to not come done in this wind). Other than that, nothing really.

we got some pretty nasty wind last night and I'm 100 miles west of Philly. Figured you guys would've got hit pretty hard.

We were, just our area's trees seem to have had little problems. Probably because the last 3 or 4 storms we have had in the last month took down all the weak ones. Heck, the storm we had at the beginning of the month took out 12 power/phone poles near my work, along with all the assortment of trees. I mean, it actually snapped 4 or 5 of those poles, and uprooted 2 more (the others fell sideways most likely from a combination of the weight of the other poles/wires and the wind/rain). So the stuff left standing for this storm has been pretty well proven to handle some tough conditions.
