Today they had the roast of ronnie the limo driver and i was dying in work. The best is I had the sirius frequency set up so everyone in my area was tuning in to check it out. Artie was of course the best out of all the roasters but Bubba was the one who made ronnie flip out finally. He's not even a comedian and thats why ronnie was getting so mad. I've been listening to the Bubba show on the way home every night and I must say i'm enjoying it. Its been a pretty good show the past couple of days.

Oh John, Stern sarcastically mentioned the O&A army this morning. They were in a discussion about XM and how the company is in trouble, but Howard said, "I see three guys with signs from the O&A army in the parking lot. Man there army is huge." Something like that. It was actually pretty funny. I wish they would just bury the hatched and bring them over to Sirius.

it will never happen or vice versa. they hate each other worse than bubba and howard did not too long ago.
howard has been actually saying stuff back finally which is good. they play clips on O&A sometimes about him bitching.
all week he has been mentioning stuff like that. every time he does, we get an O&A retaliation which sometimes gets repetitive but its usually pretty funny.

i have some older clips of them going off on howard.
i think they're funny. me and ryan listened to them a couple weeks ago when people were at my house. i dont know if the hardcore stern fans would enjoy them but ryan did and he's a fan so maybe they would. haha
hey funny is funny any way you slice it.

I heard that too on tuesdays show. He was all fired up cuz sirius' numbers went up alot and of course he's taking all the credit. he even said that there facing him with O&A all the time when really he should be facing the entire company which is a little ridiculous. I think he did have alot to do with subscribers but they also have exclusive NFL which is the biggest sports market around. I got it so i could listen to all the games with my fantasy players and all that. Of course knowing stern was going there helped my decision alot too.

And according to some anonymous fan, XM lost Nascar to Sirius which will be add even more subscribers to Sirius due to it's huge popularity.

I don't understand how hillbillies have satellite. Shouldn't they be out beating dogs and doing their cousins or something?

true.

all truckers get satellite so they dont have to find local radio stations while they drive state to state.

They announced today that the show is gonna start being played on a constant loop throughout the day. I catch the 6-7 hour which is usually just them talking about whats going to be on the rest of the show, so it will be nice to hear the later part of the show when I'm driving home @ 3.

As for the whole O&A thing (sorry I'm catching up to this thread) I really liked them when they were on WYSP a few years back, but comon... those guys would be spinning Smashmouth singles on Sunny 104.5 if it wasnt for the format of radio that Howard has developed.

He may bitch and complain and shamelessly pump himself up, but the fact remains that he paved the road for these guys. I'd bet money that if O&A were in the situation Bubba was in, Howard would have offered them a spot on his station too. I guess thats their schtick though, to be the radio guys brave enough to bit the hand that led them and bash howard. I guess howard did the same thing with Imus, but at least Imus deserved it.

I wasnt going to respond to this because you need to know the full history, not just what howard stern says on the subject. There are many sources that can back up the fact that Howard was scared at the popularity that O&A were receiving in afternoon drive time and wanted them gone. O&A were huge howard fans. They dont deny the fact that he made talk radio popular. He didnt invent it or invent shock radio... people were doing it before the 80s when howard was big. The fact is that it isnt 1989 anymore and Howard isnt as controversial as he was before. A fresh new talk radio pair was interesting to a younger fan base (18-25). Howard still had his loyal fans but people that didnt get up early enough or have a radio at work would listen to O&A in the afternoon on the way home or at home.

Howard put a gag order on them so they couldnt mention his name (for no reason) and worked behind the scenes to continually screw them over. This ruined their relationship. Now if you like Howard then thats cool... I like him too. He's got a funny show but I just got tired of it. O&A's show is more of a relaxed environment of friends sitting around without people kissing the ass of the host. They just shoot the shit and tell stories much like Jim Breuer's show on Sirius. I got sick of listening to Stern when he would go on and on about how he couldnt do a good show on terrestrial radio and everyone was out to get him like its a big conspiracy. And the fact that he's almost 55 years old and I have to hear him talk about how he wants to bang these young girls. Thats creepy. And plus... sex isnt what makes the show good. Howard seems to think that sometimes. It has to be interesting and most importantly to me... funny. People that have come and gone on that show can vouch for the fact that it is not a pleasure working for Mr. I Will Never Become A Celebrity, Howard Stern. He truly is a celebrity asshole now.

Most of my friends still enjoy the show. I have no problem with that. Some of my friends like movies that I dont like or music. Its all a matter of opinion. But dont go saying they are biting the hand that fed them. More like they are biting the hand that was trying to shove their head down the toilet for the couple years they were on WYSP.

I'll stick with O&A. If they went to Sirius (which will never happen) then I would get Sirius. They will never bury the hatchet with Stern. They genuinely hate each other. You can tell how bad it is when you listen to them go off on him. Their first show on XM they went right into it because they were held down all those years.

Jesus Christ, why did I respond to this?????
Now I am gonna have to hear it back from everyone. POOP!
I"m not responding anymore. I argue too much on this board. I just want to have fun but I have to stick up for the boys. I'm obsessed with their show and I cant help myself.

little side note on howard stern. Jackie the joke man was on Breuer the other night and he was pretty damn funny. He had some many great stories.

Like I said, I like both shows ... I just stopped listening to them when they went off of WYSP and I never got XM. Not trying to start an argument, sway anybody's opinion or piss anyone off, I was just throwing in 2 cents, which I guess was a mistake.
