Bought Journey off of PSN. I've heard great things and these are the guys that made Flower so hopefully it's good.

Ordered the Alien Quadrilogy (dumb word) from amazon yesterday and it was on my doorstep this morning. It is magnificent. Makes me want to buy more blu ray box sets. Too bad they are mostly brutally expensive. I think BTTF is up next.

Glad I'm not alone in thinking that game is overrated pretentious garbage.

Honestly, I was excited for it. When it came out on PC, I bought it right away. Unfortunately, all it did was further cement the belief that all Iphone games are worthless garbage, only good for distracting yourself for minutes at a time. It's not even a good by adventure game standards, and it's got hipster smug all over it. I hate it and it stinks!

Yeah that was my thought too. I played maybe an hour of it on iPod Touch and had enough. You literally do nothing but walk around. The Punch Out style fights seemed kinda cool but I did two of them within that time playing it.

Looks like my PS3 is shitting the bed. I wanted to watch a bit of Alien before work, 10 minutes in I got 3 beeps and a flashing red light. Seems to be an overheating problem. I'm pretty sure this has happened before, so I'm gonna let it cool off and try again later, but my hopes are not high. At this point, I kind of want to replace it anyway. PS2 backwards compatibility is super convenient, but I still have a PS2. It wouldn't be the end of the world. My primary concern is backing up all my save files. I have many unfinished saves that I'd like to hang on to if at all possible.

We'll see what happens tonight.

I will play it and bear the truth.

Please do. However, you will really enjoy it if you like a whole lot of nothing with your games.

Nate, bummer about the PS3. I'll be pretty sad if I have to replace mine sometime soon.

if you want nate, you can buy my snazzy 1st gen 360. Never had the RROD. Still works. It even has 2 sets of power and av cables. It is probably the last of its kind.

Thanks dude, but I already had to replace the 360, twice. I have one of the new ones now. They're not supposed to overheat, but I'm still wary.

I'm actually glad my PS3 lasted as long as it did. It's incredibly sad that your console dying and having to be replaced is a normal thing this generation, but I know others have had it a lot worse than I did. My 60 GB lasted a good 6 years.

I have owned 3 consoles this gen (2 360s and 1 PS3) and only one console death. That isn't bad for a generation that lasted this long. Last gen was only 4 years except for the PS2 which went 6 years. I think I know more people in person who had to replace last gen consoles than this gen. I know at least 2-3 people whose Gamecubes died and 1 or 2 with dead PS2s

I remember PS2s giving up on the CD based media after a while, but you are the first one that's told me they've gone through multiple Gamecubes. I thought those things were built to last.

I clearly remember 2 friends having to replace their Gamecubes I don't remember what the problem was though.

I had to replace my Gamecube on it's last year, but that thing literally got the shit played out of it way more than any of my disc based systems. That thing was almost constantly in use for probably 4 years straight between me, my nephews, Dad, brother, and parties. Nice thing was by the time I needed a new one they were only a hundred bucks and I got the sweet platinum one. The downside is by that point Nintendo ripped out the component out and my free loader disc didn't work anymore rendering my GBA Player useless. :(

Glad I work in a video game store sometimes. Got a replacement PS3, 320 gb, for $125. Lost a bunch of saves, but I still have my latest stuff from the cloud and I think I have a bunch of PS2 saves still on memory cards. Just gotta get Alien out of the old drive. So annoying. I literally just got that on Bluray today.

It's a lot quieter and the connection to my router seems to be much stronger. I wish the old one was still working, but I'm happy to have the extra space and bandwidth.
