Well the Golden Cross just occured today on FCX.... of course this happened after the stock was beaten (and manipulated IMO) down to $38. Might finally start moving back up now as long as the powers that be make it so.

This is considered a hostile takeover so things are about to get very interesting in the next few weeks. I can't really say how the share price is going to react, but might start a bidding war for the company. We shall see.

It is a little complicated based on Liberty Media's ownership stake in Sirius. Technically, they own 40% of the company right now. In order to have majority ownership, they need to increase their stake to 51%. However, they are tryin to gain ownership of Sirius assets (Satellites, repeaters, etc.) without that 51%. That is why its considered hostile. Some think they are trying to get the FCC issues out of the way in preparation of increasing their stake to 51%. Others think they are trying to force Sirius into some sort of deal. Nobody really knows for sure, but the main take away is that Liberty wants Sirius and now everyone knows it.

FCX 1st quarter call tomorrow. The stock *Will* move big, but the question is whether that's up or down. I tend to think they will beat analyst estimates at .85 a share. Fast Money was pumping them hard today and I usually don't like to see that, but I told myself I would hold my calls through earnings so that is what I'm going to do. Currently own 70 May 43 Calls at an avg of .85. They are currently up to .34 right now and that's after they had dropped to .20. Any drop back down to .20 and I'm booking the loss. If FCX beats and guidance is positive, calls should move nicely. We will see, earnings before market open.

It is way oversold however look for it to close the week right around 38 due to these damn options. Manipulation at it's finest.... Copper down today doesn't help the cause either.

I have not posted here in a long time, however today was a huge day in the market and a post needs to be made. Today was huge because Ben Bernanke unleashed QE3. Everyone expected this, but what they didnt' expect is the fact there is no set time for it to end. Stocks may continue to rally, but the real play here is GOLD. Since the world economy is also easing due to a major slowdown and the dollar is about to be destroyed, GLD seems to be the safest play while QE3 is in effect. Gold could be heading to $1900 - $2000 and it's going to happen quick once people realize what is really happening in the world.

Yeah, my shares of Yamana Gold has been the highest in a while. Also FCX copper has been on a tear recently.

FCX should benefit from QE3 because commodities are going to jump as a result. Looks like it might hit my 50 target after all..... a little late tho haha.

Banks around the world have been easing and in this environment, instead of trying to pick stocks, I think the absolute easiest way to play it is GOLD. Watch this over the next month and you will see what I mean.
