Consumer confidence is at lowest level since April 2009. The next few months after that, the Dow went onto rally almost 3,000 points..... Just saying.....

I'm only paying attention to two dates right now. September 16th is Options expiration and September 20-21st is the next Fed meeting where many are expecting some form of QE3. If no QE3, say good bye to all gains and watch market tank all over again. If QE3, we will most likely repeat last year's run....

I bought some more MU and ONNN while they were down. Hopefully this will prove to be a good move. When the market rights itself again, I think these will take off. On the bright side, my AUY stock is as high as ever. In other news YOKU is now trading at a measly $22/share. Ha, I'm glad I got out when I did.

I should have bought some more PANL when they were down to $30. They're back up at $52 again. That stock has been on a pretty wild ride this past year.

No, I bought while the market was doing pretty well. So I am down about $600 now. Which in the grand scheme of things doesn't realy matter. But I am trying to get into another house now, so I should have just kept the cash and waited to invest..

Looks like we've been getting a good run these past few days. Hopefully it will carry through until next week.

There are moves I want to make, however I'm still not doing anything until the Fed meeting next week. That is key.

GME is puling back up to $25 again. Let's hope we end on a positive by the end of today.

Not sure what to think of the market right now, but this damn uncertainty about the future is freaking people out (as it should in a way).

Lebed is going nuts on stock picks right now. Made one last week that jumped over 60% in 3 days, and now made another one yesterday which is also rising. Been burned by him once, so what he says isn't gold. But he does seem to strike it hot every now and again.

god..thats like 600 pts in 2 days..there was a time people would have killed themselves over that. does this have anything to do with the fed meeting JW was talking about? im guessing the results were not favorable?

The fed said that we could be stuck in a shitty economy for years too come, that outlook is bleak. Nothing new.

yay.

in related news, there's been some protestors outside wallstreet rallying against the banks and their "collusion" with the US government and its policies. tonight, we saw a decent sized crowd litterally walk down Houston street in the middle of traffic. it was a little surreal. maybe they're on to something. or just on something.

The Fed disappointed and gave a bleak economic outlook as William Smith stated which caused a panic selloff. The mess in the Eurozone is another big reason for what is happening. It is just an overall clusterfuck right now and I remain on the sidelines until I feel like there is a bottom.

I may not be very educated when it comes to the market, but are you guys into selling/buying? You're dividends for the most part should be unaffected by if the stock market is good/bad right? I mean just because the stock prices go down doesn't mean a company is in trouble, the market goes up and down for anything, unpredictable. I have some stocks my parents got a while ago and I get a couple hundred a month from dividends, As long as my companies are still doing well why should I give a shit about stock prices? Or is it that consumer confidence goes down because of the decreasing points?
