christ, first thing these candidates do when they come out is talk about how they hate gays and lowering taxes. Good job, alienate the gay voting population, and lowering taxes is horrible.
Bachmann is as bad as palin, so terrible.

Romney wouldn't be horrible, he's pretty moderate.

I tend to disagree with a lot of Obama's stances on issues, but I think it's worth it to suck it up so somebody like bachmann doesn't shit all over us.

Yeah but if they think lowering taxes is smart right now they must be of below average intelligence. Where are they going to get that money from instead? Cutting education? Or maybe they'll actually cut military funding for once.

Even if you cut tons of shit it's not going to let you lower taxes, the wave of shitty things we have to pay for (medicare, social security etc) hasn't hit yet.

I wanted to mention this little tid bit in yesterday's post, but forgot. People I work with, who never talk about stocks or the economy, are now thinking about getting into gold. When the average joe decides its time to get into something, it is ultimately a sign that the asset has topped out. We'll see if that is the case in the next few weeks. Combine this with the Buffett story and I think stocks are going to rise again very soon. I did say that when you tell me you want to get into gold, it makes me want to get back into stocks and thats the direction they should probably head.

Wouldn't this be a horrible time to get into gold? I mean unless the economy completely bellies up I don't see it going higher. And even if it does belly up, who's going to have money to buy your gold?

people aren't going to want gold anyways. if everything goes to shit they will want food and water. you cant do shit with gold other then look at it sparkle. the whole theory of gold being worth shit if there is an economic collapse is ridiculous. what the fuck good is a useless shiny rock? i mean it has scientific uses and technology uses as a conductor..but again, total economic collapse, I just dont see a whole lot of production on anything going on.

I agree with this 100%, however the average retail investor only sees that the price of gold continues to climb and thinks they can also profit from it. The problem is that by the time Joe Schmoe figures this out, it's already too late to cash in.

Here we go again..... what a joke. The uptick rule needs to be put back in place immediately to stop this madness. Meanwhile, Our President and Congress are going to enjoy their vacations while this country continues to go right down the fucking toilet....

There used to be a time when the DOW plunges almost 500 points in a day would cause heads to explode. Now, it's almost become common place.

Their big platform was change you can believe in. What change? Extending unemployment to almost 2 years? Helping the poor continue to suck off the system?

CHAAAANGEEEE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN.

actually at this point, it is both parties. they have caused a complete clusterfuck by being so polarized that nothing gets done. we need an independent that can actually win a damn election.

man, PANL is so freaking volatile right now. I thought about buying back in at $30 the other day and it's already jumped to $40.

PANL just jumped another 18% today because of the LG deal.

My uranium stocks haven't been fairing as well as I had hoped. Maybe they'll rebound in another few years.

Tough go right now..... I've been taking it on the chin myself. Staying on the sidelines until this market figures itself out.....
