punxsutawney phil did NOT see his shadow and predicted an early spring.
i cant see how this is possible since winter basically just started. we had a pretty mild december and january only started getting really cold towards the end of the month but i guess the idiots look up weather patterns and crap and then pretend the groundhog told them this great information.

oh well....

strike up the music, the band has begun
THE PENNSYLVANIA POLKA!

Did you know that Punxsutawney Phil is 60% wrong in his predictions? That's worse than tossing a coin to predict the weather. He is quite possibly the worst weather man ever.

Bringing a thread back from the dead.

Someone did an in depth analysis of how long Bill Murray was stuck on the same day in the movie Groundhog Day.
The final result if you don't feel like reading it is just about 34 years.

Harold Ramis once said it was 10 years then changed his mind to closer to 20-30 years so its probably a pretty good estimate this guy made.

would you bone Andie Macdowell?
I think if i was stuck there for years, I'd try to find someone hotter.

He did. He boned that one chick that Chris Elliot liked that "made noises like a chipmunk."
He might have boned some more but Harold Ramis made it more family friendly and didn't show them. haha

I like Andie Macdowell. I used to think she was really pretty. Like a really hot MILF.

Yeah man I caught that part tonight too. It made me sad even when I saw it back when I was like 10 or 11. When it was happening Dem said "I can't watch this part without crying."

He just wants to help the poor guy, and there's nothing he can do about it. Which in turn knocks the god complex out of him.

What a great movie.

Apparently, Phil is only right 34% of the time and last year predicted an early spring. We all know what happened after that. The only good thing Phil has ever done is inspire the Bill Murray smash comedy.... Groundhog Day. Another fun fact is that there are other Groundhogs in New York and Ohio, both of which didn't see their shadows. I trust them more then Phil. Phil sucks.

I just watched the movie again last night because I haven't seen it in forever. I remember when I first saw it and thinking my wife is going to be like Andie MacDowell. What the hell happened?!?!
