I will say i didn't like the pointless "day 1" "day 2" and "day 3" titles they threw in there. They added zero value. It was too much of an attempt to be like 24. It is not this shows format, they should just stick to what is working.

yeah they tried making the finale a big deal. i didn't hate the DAY titles, i just didnt care either way. they could have done without it and had the same effect.
but if thats the only part to pick at, then you know it was a damn good finale.

the scene inside the locked area with Brody wearing the bomb was so intense.
this is the kind of tension i wish 24 still had in its final seasons. Howard Gordon, the co-creator of Homeland, was actually a big part of 24.

yeah, thats honestly the only thing i could think to complain about it. it really was fukin solid. but the whole season has been for the most part. they have thrown in some twists that weren't totally expected and kept me kind of guessing. plus the cast and acting is fantastic. Danes should get whatever awards she is nominated for. I have seen and experienced bipolar disorder and she has that shit down. its scary how well she plays it.

Finale of this was nail-biting and overall great.

Can't wait to see how they play the whole "Brody in Congress" thing.

And, wtf happens to Carrie now that she's not CIA?

As long as they don't do something retarded like write her out of the show.

I wanna look up the Israeli show this is based off of.

Lost alumna Zuleikha Robinson has booked a major recurring role in Season 2 of Homeland, Deadline reports.
She’s been cast as a field journalist with ties to terrorist Abu Nazir.

anyone else caught up on this? Still a great show, but they are seriously doing some dumb shit that would never fukin happen. and it is making me angry

1. brody sending a warning text, from his own phone, FROM THE FUKIN WAR ROOM!!..nope (not to mention all the toher shit they do on their personal phones)
2. CIA relying on a single fukin SD card for incredibly sensitive data while obviously having an internet connection...nope
3. swooping into a fukin place they have been monitoring for weeks with a ton of people, making it an obvious raid and then not even having guards to avoid a fukin assault team coming in and blowing everyone away..nope
4. losing brody on a helicopter ride and/or not seeing that helicopter coming...nope
5. "no CIA presence while we get his wife and kids out" then she is sitting across the street in a fukin black towncar..they have cameras, fukin use those..nope
6. parked directly across from the take down spot (the diner where roya meets her camera guys), up on the sidewalk, in an unmarked black surveillance van with absolutely no reason to be there..nope
7. a group of middle eastern looking dudes messing with a news van while looking awkward and suspicious in a super white area...nope

it is getting hard to keep in the moment with dumb shit like this popping up

Yeah I agree this season isnt as good as the last. But its still good. They still have some super intense moments that have me on the edge of my seat.
But I am not praising it like I did last year. I still really like it though. I definitely brought up some of those same points with my wife. haha

HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!
Homeland sure does know how to do a season finale. This show is the new 24. And I'm sure it will go down the same path as 24 if they drag it on too long.

It will. THere is only so long you can keep this type of shit up for. Hopefully they won't keep it going until it is terrible.

that being said a bomb would never make it onto CIA property. they have bomb sniffing dogs at every entrance and use those dogs and mirrors to clear anything coming through. same as they do at military bases.

they have taken some liberties this season that have pissed me off a bit.

Finally got the disk from netflix and watched the first 3 episodes. Loving it so far, great subject matter, great story, and great acting.
It partially reminds me of Rubicon, only much better.

Halfway through season 1, holy shit. When she got excited about the polygraph, I knew there was no way he would NOT have had training on how to beat a polygraph test. But when he just stared right into the camera and lied to her, it was still a great moment. Then he picks her up in the car and BOOM disk over, sons of bitches!
