There's a market for it, but I seriously doubt it's large enough to justify making all the collector's editions look like that. They're definitely driving away potential sales with that thing.

They kept Shane around a really long time in the show. In the comics he was dead before they left that first camp area where Rick met them if I remember correctly.

Also I feel like Carl is almost necessary. While he is annoying as fuck he kind of keeps things moving with his fuck ups and the whole, trying to keep his humanity in a time where it is so easy to just fall into a mindset of survive and nothing else. Like when they were going to kill that kid in the barn but Rick stopped when he noticed Carl.

Meh, I don`t think they need to follow the comics. If they want to change things up and keep characters around that are supposed to be dead then I don`t have an issue with it.

I still hate Carl though. I have no interest in watching people maintaining their humanity. I want to watch a show where society has been thrown out the window and people have to become monsters to survive in a world that is populated by worse monsters. When they killed Dale off I was so happy, because his preachy bullshit was starting to get on my nerves. It should be Mad Max time, not hippy commune time.

I get that`s not going to be what this show is about, and I`m still going to sign up for the long haul, but it doesn`t mean I have to like every little bit of it. For every 30 minutes of social drama I know there`s probably going to be about 15 minutes of Hershel, Andrea, Daryl, and Michonne killing zombies in gruesome ways.

Do you think Merle is going to be in the jail when the group moves in?

Well with a lot of the complaints I've read in this thread and how the story goes in the comics I think you would want it to follow some of the jail stuff from the comics lol.

I wonder if they are going to have something in the TV version of the jail like they did with those little girl twins in the comics. Clearly those characters did not make it into the show but that part of the comic was intense.

Well I'm not saying we need to have a radical departure, but there's no reason they couldn't add, keep, or get rid of characters as they want. Deryl wasn't in the comics but I'm happy to have in along for the ride. I'm just trying to say if the writers wanted to they could have kept Shane around for the duration, just as much as they could kill carl, and there are plenty of other plot devices the writers could use to get the story to move along.
