Pretty awesome, seems to be following the books pretty closely which makes me think the first season will probably cover Book 1 (hardcover).

Thought this was pretty awesome. I almost stopped watching it when it hit 11 o clock thinking it was over. I stopped paying attention and started making bottles and I realized it kept going. Thanks to the DVR I was able to rewind a few minutes and catch up.

Also, was I the only one that was sad when the horse got eaten? I was kind of hoping the horse would be in it more since it seemed like they were almost introducing a character when he took it. Oh well. :(

I think the best scene was when the one dude was attempting to shoot his wife. That was some seriously wild stuff.

I also loved the first episode. A zombie TV show. I can't wait for more.

I felt like I was watching a movie. Some high quality shit right there.
The no leg zombie crawling on the ground was awesome. And yeah the black dude from Jericho trying to shoot his wife was a great scene. That guy is great in everything.

Does it say in the book how long he was in the hospital for?
Because his wife is already banging his partner so I'm guessing he was there for a while.

And yeah Phil, I felt bad for the horse. I wanted it to stick around too. hahahahaha

Awesome premiere. Thought Darabont did an amazing job developing the characters right off the bat. AMC lived up to it's tagline too "story matters here" haha. Great setup, can't wait to see some more.

I also felt bad for that horse. They feasted on him haha

John I don't really remember how long he was in the hospital in the book, but I think it was probably a few weeks. I believe his partner and wife think he was killed while he was in the coma. My wife hates horror movies and even she enjoyed it, she was getting into the characters. Minor comic spoiler: In the comic we never see Morgan Jones and his son again after he helps Rick get going to Atlanta (at least not as of Book 4). I wonder if we'll see more of him on the show since they cast a relatively known actor for the role.

I also liked that the show basically started with him head-shotting a little girl, that pretty much set the tone for how fucking brutal this series is.

i felt bad for the horse, especially once all the various organs started getting pulled out of it.

i loved how it started, i agree it set the tone for the show. good shit.

atlanta looks nothing like that lol. i think they just photoshopped in a few buildings from our skyline. they did an awesome job.

was anyone else forming strategies for a future zombie apocalypse in the RL when this show was on? i seem to do it whenever i watch anything zombie related.

About Morgan: Yes, they reunite with him again in the comic. He is a part of the current storyline, but he mainly sticks to the background. Dude is messed up.

About the Horse: If seeing the horse eaten made you sad, this might not be the show for you. You are in for some serious shock in future episodes.

What the zombies do is not particularly shocking. I mean, you expect zombies to tear living creatures limb from limb whenever they can.

I think the much more disturbing stuff is what the living do to each other.
