Figured some of us might watch this show in between the 2 new Office episodes so I made a topic in case anyone cared to comment. If people are enjoying it and commenting each week then I'll keep it going.

TONIGHT APRIL 9TH AT 8:30PM EST ON NBC
Make My Pit a Park
In the series pilot, mid-level bureaucrat Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) takes on what should be a fairly simple project: turn an abandoned construction site into a community park, but navigating the local government of Pawnee, Ind., proves to be quite the challenge. Ann: Rashida Jones. Tom: Aziz Ansari. Mark: Paul Schneider.

Just watched a few parks and rec episodes, I blew it off for a good while but aziz makes this show funny shit. the other characters are pretty blah, but I at least get 1 laugh when he's on screen.

When Parks & Rec debuted I watched one episode and wasn't interested. I heard it got A LOT better.
Well I watched all of Season 1 (only 6 episodes) on Netflix and I actually liked it so if I just gave it another couple eps, I would have been in from Day 1.
But it doesn't matter, I like blowing through new shows. I watched 10 episodes from Season 2 over the last couple days. Pretty damn great show.

Yeah I wasn't a fan of season 1, but seasons 2+ are really good.

Finished Parks & Rec Season 2. Can't wait to start the next season.
Shows should be ending for the year soon so I'll have more time to watch this.

Finished Parks & Rec Season 3. I'm wondering if I watched this at the same time The Office was its in prime which one I would like better.
Right now I'm thinking Parks & Rec is way funnier but thats probably because The Office isn't as fresh as it used to be and this is a brand new show for me.

Regardless, I'm enjoying it very much. Season 4 is also on Netflix so I'll be chugging along. I think Season 5 is on TV now so I might have to download them instead of waiting for release on video.

I think Parks and Rec does a better job of staying fresh by spending more time exploring the other characters. Maybe it's selective memory, but The Office felt like the Jim and Pam show a lot of the time and that got boring, especially considering they are some of the more sane characters on the show. I think the only sane character on Parks and Rec is Anne and she isn't really focused on outside of the first season or so.

Also Ron Swanson > the entire cast of the Office.

Finished Season 4. Only episodes 5-9 of Season 5 On Demand so had to download 1-4.

I can't believe I actually created this topic.
I remember watching the first episode and not liking it so I stopped watching.
Flashforward almost 4 years later and I'm all caught up and loving the shit out of it.

I caught up last night an hour before the new episode came on. So now it will be part of my Thursday night lineup.
Unlike The Office, these characters haven't gotten old yet. I heard some people are sick of Rob Lowe but he still cracks me up.

Now I want to go watch Aziz Ansari's stand up because he's hilarious in this show.

I dunno what's been going on with NBC's lineup, but Parks and Rec hasn't been on much these past few weeks. It came back for 1 new episode, and then poof! Gone again.

He's the best. I still almost cry laughing at the shit he says.
That skim milk line was in last Thursday's episode and it killed me.
