Yeah, I'm really surprised that it's under the Avengers on pretty much all of your summer movie lists. I haven't seen Prometheus yet, but Avengers is a pretty one note experience, even though it's an awesome note. Prometheus seems like a much richer experience.

What do I know though? I'll see it soon enough. It must be seen.

There's some stuff in it that is just silly. Like you think "why would they do that?". And in a movie like The Avengers, you just suspend disbelief a little more because its a superhero movie. I know Prometheus is about aliens in a way but hey that shit could be real in the future. I don't want to ruin what the story is really about. Its more realistic where you don't want to have those cheesy moments as much. But yeah I think I'm going to change it to Prometheus above Avengers. If it was number grades out of 10 they'd both be around 8 for different reasons. But Prometheus is one that I would buy on Blu Ray and watch years down the line. The Avengers would be like the original Iron Man. I've seen it twice but I never leave it on when I'm flipping channels. I'm reading interviews with the cast of Prometheus and different people's reviews. I don't usually do that with movies after I've seen them. Usually a little before just to get pumped.

I just realized today that the chick in it is the same girl from the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. She looks completely different. And she also looks completely different in her IMDB picture. She pulls off a pretty good English/Scottish accent for being a Swedish woman.

And stupid Firefox, stop telling realized is spelled wrong when it can be spelled both realized and realised! ASKL:DJS:KLDJL:ASK

Hey Manfre, did Mandy go see it with you? I told the girl here at work that's pregnant to go watch it.

Yeah Noomi Rapace is really good. She was in Sherlock Holmes 2 also but I haven't seen that yet.
I read she really took a lot of time to perfect the accent.

And no Mandy did not see it. She will not see anything with even a tiny bit of a horror element to it.

You should have told her it was a sci-fi comedy.

He should have told his almost due, pregnant wife that a horror was a comedy? I would not mess around like that lol.

I was just joking around. And Prometheus is not a horror movie.

I thought it had some horror aspects or something. I don't know I haven't been keeping up with movies much.

It has nothing to do with pregnancy. She won't see those kinds of movies anyway.
By horror elements I meant anything that would freak you out or make you jump or anything like that. Or just anything creepy with aliens, monsters, creatures, etc.
Not her thing.

Did you bump Prometheus over The Avengers or is that a mistake?

I did it on purpose. I kept thinking about it and talking about it and started liking it more.
Avengers is just a big gigantic action flick. It was awesome but Prometheus is something I want to watch again right now.
Avengers I can wait until Blu Ray.

Well, do you still like Family Guy?
Its like live action Family Guy. Very similar jokes because its Macfarlane obviously. Sometimes taking it to the line with racist or offensive stuff.
And lots of Flash Gordon references.

He's good. He's more of the straight man. Keeps things serious while wacky stuff is going on around him.
But he has some good lines too. The Other Guys and now Ted, Marky Mark gets it done in comedies.

Yeah, I think I actually enjoyed Mark Wahlberg more than Will Ferrel in the Other Guys, and that's saying quite a bit! He's so terrible in most things, so it caught me off guard I think. Say hi to your mother for me! ahahahaha

I've seen enough movies where I can take part in this!

The Avengers
Spiderman
Brave

I kind of want to put Spiderman above Avengers, but at the moment I can't. Spiderman is a much better movie in terms of introducing us to characters, getting to know them, and having a story arc. The Avengers is just big dumb fun. I left the Avengers feeling pretty good about it and surprised, I left Spidey feeling kinda let down despite still liking it. So, Avengers gets top spot. Brave was good, but for a Pixar movie it was just average.

The Avengers
Amazing Spider-Man
Prometheus
Men in Black III

As I wrote on facebook...

Coming from a guy who has over 500 issues of Amazing Spider-Man...I loved the movie. Andrew Garfield > Tobey Maguire Spidey wise...he cracks jokes, is nerdy when necessary, and has web shooters! I can't wait to see it again.

Also...

The voicemail stuff with Uncle Ben tugged at my heart strings.
