I loved every second...Cap is the man...great story great effects great acting. Tommy Lee Jones and Hugo Weaving steal the show. Great set-up for The Avengers as well.

This is a limited release movie that some marketing company sent me the DVD screener for.
It was kind of a dark comedy but just not all that great. Comes out August 26th but probably not in many theaters.

Forgot to add this one. Gotta review it for MWG so I didn't put anything up on the Smorg yet.

I remember speaking with you about X-Men and agreeing that it was pretty good but not fantastic (unless that was Mike). So judging by how high X-Men is on your summer movie list, I'd say this summer was one of the worst summer seasons. No?

I definitely liked X-Men alot. I gave it an 8 out of 10. But I wasn't entirely blown away like I was with Super 8 or Potter.
I thought a lot of characters were pretty shitty but the main two were enough to carry it to a movie I'd watch several more times.
And I liked how they made the Cuban Missle Crisis involved with mutants. haha

But looking at my list, its kind of a crappy summer.
Harry Potter and Super 8 were the only really great dramas while Horrible Bosses was the only really great comedy.
X-Men and Bridesmaids are up there too. Just not as good as the Top 3.

Don't have to go into specifics if its some story spoiler, but do they explain why they can't just stop the apes...with bullets?

Well they don't show the full on uprising, just the beginnings of it. Its really just one long scene at the end. And they do kill a lot of apes.

Haven't made a list this summer yet, let's see if I can get this right, as my summer movie watching came to an end last night with Super 8, trying to remember all the films I saw between the US and Egypt.

Super 8
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2
X-Men First Class
Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Friends with Benefits
Captain America: The First Avenger
Cars 2
Smurfs
Pirates 4

Actually got a lot of laughs. I kinda thought they would go for an action comedy like Pineapple Express but it wasn't really. Aziz and Swardson cracked me up. Danny McBride had a lot of good lines too.
