You know, I loved the Stooges as a little kid. I have fond memories of watching them on Sunday mornings with my dad and just laughing our asses off. I think I actually wouldn't have minded this movie so much if it was done as a proper tribute. The fact that they made the movie as three separate 'episodes' was a step in the right direction, but it looks like they've just packed it full of pop-culture references and current sensations (does the world really need any more Jane Lynch?) that will make it a complete mess. It's too bad really, these guys were pioneers for their time and making a movie with Snookie jokes is just taking a big fat shit on the legacy.
This is 100% correct. I have not met ONE person who thinks this movie looks good or is excited by it's prospect. I know there is a desire to make a quick buck in this day and age, but why can't they leave a classic like this alone? I would not be shocked if this movie fails miserably and critics absolutely destroy it.
