Just watched the finale. Its sad this thing got cancelled man. It had potential. All I know is when they had the cop out of showing you john smith (the guy behind all the attacks). I nearly shit when it was the one and only George Mason. The god damned american hero himself planned the destruction of America. Too bad he had about a second of screen time cuz of the cancellation. Oh well it was a decent show. I cant wait to see what god awful reality tv show they put in its place. Goddamn disgrace.

yeah it was a decent ending i guess, i mean it was obviously rushed.

i read earlier today that CBS Productions (not CBS Television, who canceled it) is shopping it around to the CW, Spike TV, SciFi and a few other cable networks. The show had something like 7-8 million viewers every week (including internet), I can't see how that wouldn't be a hit for a secondary network. Theres no way a show like Smallville has more viewers than that. so theres some hope that we'll see the show return.

personally I'd like to see how they handle the second american civil war, so lets hope they do.

Apparently Comcast and CBS are working on some kind of deal to bring the show back, not sure what that means exactly.

After finishing Californication, Jericho is next on my list of shows to watch. I remember Steve saying to get through about 10 episodes before knowing if you're really a fan or not. Thats kind of a lot to get through but I'm in for the long haul since I own the DVDs already. Might watch the pilot tonight unless something else comes up.

Maybe not quite 10, but it definitely took at least 4 or 5. Some of the characters seem really obnoxious until they develop them further.

Watched the pilot episode last night.
Steve, you're right about the dialogue. Some of it is God awful.
And I hate when they mix the soft rock songs in between scenes while a character is driving or walking around town and not interacting with anyone else at the moment. Reminds me of crap shows my wife watches like October Road or One Tree Hill.

BUT... the story is interesting and I definitely want to keep watching.
Maybe a couple tonight. Not sure.

Is it as good as Gilmore Girls?

Yeah the soft rock interludes made my stomach turn, they stop doing that after a few episodes.

I noticed Heroes did it too in the first episode and then they dropped it.
Every friggin show does those song interludes. I'm glad they stop that crap.

HOUSE?

I can't believe you'd watch this show before you watch HOUSE Manfre. You'll watch every other single TV show out there but not HOUSE.

I have no interest in HOUSE or hospital shows in general.
I dont watch ER, Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs, or whatever other hospital show is out there.
Plus I like shows where each episode is connected and part of the big picture instead of a totally new story (or patient with a problem) each week.

Oh but each show are connected. It's all about character development. Sure the cases aren't connected but things that happen in previous shows do affect what happens later in the season. You don't watch HOUSE for the medical jargon, you watch it for the characters. Especially HOUSE. The best TV character of the modern era.

I watched 2 more episodes last night.
I seriously hate the rock music that kicks in. Even the instrumentals like when the blonde chick was getting the gun while the fake cops were in the other room. Some serious guitar riffs started blasting.
But like I said before the story is interesting and I want to see how it plays out. But I'm definitely not that into it right now. Maybe a couple more eps tonight.

Steve, I know exactly what you're talking about now.
The wife and I were totally not getting into this show at all until about 11-12 episodes in. But now we're starting to get into and want to watch more and more. The last one we watched was the one where they go to the place to trade shit for a part for a windmill and find out news on the world. Like the United States is split up into 6 sections all with different Presidents and governments. And traders are using people as items because that dude had a back room with handcuffs and beds. And the one dude wanted to buy an hour with Heather which almost started a brawl. It was a good episode.

My wife and I always called it Jericho One, like from the movie Strange Days.

Cool, I'm glad you guys are enjoying it John. I thought it was a pretty interesting idea for a show, watching modern civilization break down into chaos. The execution of the idea was by no means perfect, but it was an enjoyable show overall.

Finished Season 1 today.
it actually got really good towards the end. I was really into it. Icant believe they killed off Johnston. That was actually pretty sad.
Gonna have to pick up Season 2 soon. its only 7 episodes so i think its like 20 bucks in stores.

EDIT: Target.com says its $14.99 so I might pick it up at lunch tomorrow during work.

The wife just picked up JERKicho Season 2 at Target.
Even though I'm in a Jericho watching mood still, I might watch Heroes Season 2 first since new episodes start on the 22nd. Hmmm decisions. Ones that no one cares about but me. haha

this show really got great towards the end of season 1 but i just finished season 2 and i guess it didnt have a chance to gain any steam. i didnt like how it basically started up by skipping the whole battle with New Bern. It was 6 weeks after the attacks. Jake was just together with Emily. I guess she didnt care about ever seeing her banished fiance again. And things were just so rushed. Whenever they had to travel, they got to their destination in 5 minutes even if it was driving across states. Yet things going on at the town seemed to be going in real time. It was a mess. I wasnt really too into it. All because of the cancellation I think.

They had an alternate ending in the special features and it left it open to continue. Hawkins is in prison, Valente comes to visit and basically gets schooled when Hawkins tells him the bomb is in the hands of the government in Texas, and Jake joins up with Chavez. Season 3 about a new Civil War would have been awesome.

and Dude me and the wife kept saying John Smith looked familiar. I just read Scott's post above saying it was George Mason from 24. Insane!
